"I have been going to Dr. Munyon for years, in my opinion he is one of the best internal medicine doctors in our city. I am going through a trying time currently with UNMC who can’t get there act together concerning a medial procedure, I kid you not I was transferred to 5 different phone numbers, and still no resolution, hey I get it, Covid 19 is hard on everyone, before you blame the doctors personnel, try maneuvering through the UNMC dept., it’s so frustrating, now I know what Dr. Munyon’s staff goes through on a daily basis. I am and will continue to be a Strong supporter of Dr. Barry Munyon, AND HIS STAFF!"
"Unfortunately I am not the ideal patient. Maybe that is why I loved TJ & then Dr. Munyon so much. I always feel at ease with Dr. Munyon, same as I did with Dr. Holmes. I am habitually late, if I show up at all, and they let me know (in a professional way) that I should act in a responsible way. At any rate they still put up with me, and I feel lucky to have them on my side. I will always be with them as long as they will have me. GO TEAM MUNYON, GO!!"
"Let me first say Dr.Holmes was my orginal Dr. sadly he passed away. So preceded to see Dr. Munyon my appointments were satisfactory. He took care of me when ill. Except for my last appointment. I needed to get my medication . I was told Dr.had a funeral. It won't be for a week. I apologized for their death. Explained was there anyone else who could check me so I may get my prescription. I was told abruptly No. Not 10 min later another nurse not Trish, as she is extremely rude and really shouldnt be in this profession was told to come in the next day. Great. I came to my appointment. At this time I had no insurance and told the receptionist I will pay a check no problem. She hesitated and said "well with no insurance, but you've been with us over 10 years (that's right) just pay 100.00. I did But the worst part was having the exam with the Dr.Munyon. Who obviously was saddened by his mother-in-law's passing. I get it. I'm on medication for the loss of my parents and my step mother. it's the worst feeling, as many of us know. Dr Holmes was so good and kind. Dr Munyon unfortunately paid no attention to me. while listening to my heart and chest and back he kept talking and talking. it was sad! But I'm a patient needing help too. The clincher , he left the room to get my prescription came back and said my records are missing from 2015 to 2018. And asked me!!!! "How have I been getting my prescriptions".From you!!! I said. Very long story short..I received a bill for 5.00. which was an insult. Called to complain..spoke to Dr. Munyon's wife. she couldn't explain it. I gave her the run down of my appointment...she had the nerve to say..her relatives have passed away too but SHE never needed medication for it. REALLY. So now they've dug up a bill for 195.00 dollars. Mrs.Munyon said it had to do with my insurance over a year ago. Hmmmm, weren't my records missing. Now they've turned me over to collection, which she told me they never do. So perhaps I should of paid that 5.00 and I would be done. it's the point. and I will let every social media, friends and family know this. Dr. Holms bless his soul would not like this treatment."

"My previous doctor used to be in this practice. When he switched - I was mailed a form to fill out to have my medical records transferred. Months went by and my records were never transferred. I left four voicemails that were never returned. I finally got someone to answer the phone and said they "never received my transfer request" which were mailed. She then faxed me a new form which I immediately faxed back and called to confirm it was received. I explained to her that I had a recent checkup with my doctor and some of my cholesterol numbers came back worse than expected and I wanted to promptly compare them to my previous results but couldn't do so without my records. I told her it was extremely important to me and I'd be willing to pay a fee and even pick them up myself in order to expedite this because I simply was concerned and wanted to get an understanding of what was going on with my test results ASAP and possibly seek additional advice from a specialist if need be. Long story short - it's be three more weeks since that last phone call - no records - no phone calls from the office. I will have to drive down there in person to speak with an office manager over my records. I've been explained that legally an office has 30 days to transfer records and cannot not release a patients records if requested. They're my health records and I want them. The lady I spoke with told me they're "overwhelmed" with transfers and when I asked her why they didn't hire a third party company to handle them if they're drowning in fulfilling them - her response was "that costs money." Unacceptable - not to mention - the facility is dirty, dark and depressing to set foot into. The staff was never friendly when I checked in during previous visits. I strongly recommend another office who handles themselves in a more professional matter. Dark, dirty & Dreary"
