"I had one appointment with Kayla, great start. We scheduled the next two appointments and I was excited to start my journey. The first scheduled appointment she cancels 45 mins beforehand stating a family matter had come up and she would need to reschedule. No big deal. Two weeks later the now rescheduled appointment has arrived, her receptionist calls 15 mins before the scheduled appointment and states Kayla needed to cancel again and that all appointments going forward will be done via telephone/video conference due to Covid-19. I went ahead and terminated my relationship with her after her office stated they contacted me when I have phone records to prove they did not. Very unprofessional and gives licensed social workers and mental health professionals a bad name. Shame. The amount of effort it takes to step out of your comfort zone and reach out for help, and then to have that health care professional act in an extremely unprofessional manner. No thanks."

"I have a depressed daughter that likes Kayla. My daughter waits patiently for her appointment. And my daughter is ready to talk through some things. My daughter needs help. Every other appointment gets cancelled. And my daughter needs help! Kayla abandons my daughter! And we have to go through the process of rescheduling. Does Kayla care! What kind of professional does this? If she can't help. If she can't be there for these kids. Then why is she even allowed to practice?"

"Just like all the other reviews, Kayla Leddy cancelled on me 4 times, usually 2 hours before my appointment and only because I reached out to verify we still were on for said appointment. Before I became her client, I saw the other reviews on here, both saying she cancelled twice in a row. Even so, I held out hope that maybe those two reviews were from the same 2 dates and it was just one of those “freak things”. I was wrong. I think I’ve seen her a grand total of 3 times. I was in desperate need of help to combat a deep depression I found myself struggling with and I was frequently let down by this counselor in my time of need. I feel like if she can’t take on the responsibility of having x amount of clients then she should stop taking new patients and gently inform the ones she does have to seek help elsewhere, lest they waste their time with cancelled appointments and a myriad of excuses. (met my deductible for ONCE this year. So much for that) What I didn’t see in other reviews (so this may just be my feelings) is that Kayla is very likeable. She was fun and bubbly and I felt she was a great “mom match” for me. That’s what made the constant cancellations sting so much more. I am usually a forgiving person and I don’t write reviews unless I’m extremely pleased or extremely disappointed. But in this case, I just was too disappointed and frustrated not to say something. Especially knowing other people who might desperately need the help might not get it if they choose to go to Kayla. I hope Kayla learns to manage her clients better in the future because anyway you cut this, it’s wrong. It’s wrong and she’s clearly done it to many people. I do hold out hope that she improves as it appears her practice is still in its infancy, so it has a lot of chances to learn and develop. I’d hate to think this smudge on its record would negatively effect the other counselors and therapists working under its umbrella. So although I liked Kayla as a person, she was still a terribly inconsistent, unreliable, and unprofessional counselor."

"After seeing Kayla for months and being cancelled on half of the time (mostly last minute) she didn't show up for 2 appointments in a row. The second time we reached out to her and the office multiple times and never heard back. Even in an emergency situation the patients should always be notified. We were incredibly upset and feel this office is overly unprofessional. To this day we have never heard back. No referral, no apology."

"My girlfriend has had her two most recent appointments with Kayla Leddy cancelled, both times on the same day as the appointment. On both those occasions, my girlfriend has requested those days off two weeks in advance only to have a secretary from Clearwater Counseling call to cancel less than an hour before the actual appointment. We just want to find some help, and this place didn’t have the time for us. If you’re considering this place as a new patient, have backup plans please."
