"I had signed up months ago for a waiting list and just recently got a text from Michelle asking me to schedule an appointment. I scheduled for a Wednesday afternoon and was planning to fill in the intake forms that morning when I got an email (on Tuesday) that my appointment had been cancelled. Nowhere in that email did it say why my appointment had been cancelled so I called to check. I got Michelle on the phone who was incredibly short and rude saying that she 'had told me on the phone that I only had 48 hours from receiving the intake forms to complete them'. We had never spoken on the phone, only over text and that deadline wasn't in the texts or on the email with the intake forms. Then she said that it was 'all over their website' and 'I should've known from the initial form I filled out.' I don't know why she was so mean and it just really put me off from ever trying to reschedule at this practice. Obviously, I made some kind of mistake but there's no reason to be rude to patients just trying to find a therapist, it's hard enough reaching out for help and this was uncalled for. Also, if they have that strict of a deadline, you'd think it would be in the email with the intake forms, and that maybe they'd email you again when you were approaching it? They sent the forms on Monday (22nd) and canceled my apointment 36 hours later on Tuesday (23rd) afternoon. Overall, very disappointed in their treatment of patients and frustrated that they're supposed to be "meeting clients where they are" and "creating a space they can heal in" when they can't even provide clear expectations for intake forms and just cancel appointments instead of reaching out and asking about them."
