"A very good visitor center for a lesser known National Monument. It has many good displays as well as a small theater showing a 15 minute history of the area. It is free to enter here and has ample parking. There are a few picnic spots on the grounds and you can't beat the views of the bluffs all around you. An underrated place to visit."
"The Visitor Center at Scotts Bluff is fairly small but was worth going into. The friendly ranger started the brief educational film for our family, we only had to ask. It really helped put the location into perspective, especially for our children. If you are visiting the Monument, definitely make a stop. The short trail outside the building leading to the replica wagons was nice and had great views of the rock."
"A beautiful oasis on the prairie, rich in history and a place to gather for friends and family. I spent my childhood riding my bike with friends to the visitors center, then hiking to the tunnel, and eating a sack lunch. We loved our sweet little home town where we could look down and find our homes on the town area below. As an adult, we’ve enjoyed hikes, drives, and currently a memorial service for classmates who have passed. The beautiful pines, the well-maintained trails, and the views are amazing. Thanks for keeping this place clean, raw, and special."
"We loved this place! Visitor center is free and the Park Rangers are amazing. There’s a little theater, where you can watch a video about the monument. It’s also a museum and a gift shop."
"A must see while in the area, especially for those interested in the Oregon trail. A very nice visitor’s center with friendly, knowledgeable Rangers. There are several nice, paved hiking trails with great views of Scott’s Bluff and the surrounding area. It is very easy to enjoy a half day or more at this national monument."
