"There’s a reason why this place has 3.1 stars. I wouldn’t recommend living here. When we first moved in November 2021, they tried to get more money out of us. The lady in the office that helped us get everything set up with putting down our deposit, rent, and moving in was not the best help. She lost our money order for our deposit and tried to say that it’s not her responsibility because she “had a lot of people coming in and out every day” and we have to give them more money or we wouldn't get the place. She eventually found the money order and everything worked out until we had to pay first month rent. We got hit with way more bills than what we had to pay that we had to contact the office again. They demanded that we had to pay but we stood our ground and they “realized” there was a mistake with the extra fees. They fixed it for us and took the extra fees off our rent due. We regret renewing our lease for another year in November 2022 because the rent skyrocketed with crazy fees. Our last day was November 27th but we moved out the 18th into our new place. When we had to return the keys, we were away on holidays in a different state. We returned the keys 2 days late and now they’re charging us over $200 and we don’t get our deposit back until we pay this off. This place is money hungry and will try to get as much money as they can out of you. Not to mention, a lot of our packages got stolen too from the mail room during the holidays in 2022. The office said it wasn’t their responsibility and that we should find other options on how our packages should be delivered."

"Definitely don't recommend. Was giving incorrect information upon move in. When we had questions or concerns, we were given little to no information or help. Then after moving out was hit with a $1400 bill for repairs. Even after being told for three months after moving out that we had no further charges or anything."

"A little over a month ago I had a problem with my lease. Starting from the very beginning, around august, I went and talked to one of the front desk ladies about different lease options to figure out what I wanted to do regarding my lease renewal. I was told that if I decide to renew for a year to just shoot a call or an email. I’m a first time renter so I don’t know really anything about the process. I thought everything was fine. Come the beginning of October, I see I’m being charged $600 more than my usual rate. I contact them and they say they put me onto a month to month contract and realized it was their mistake because I was never sent a new 12 month lease. Should be an easy fix since it had nothing to do with me right? I email asking what happened, no response. I email again, no response. I go in on a Friday and talk to one of the ladies who says the manager will get everything fixed by the following Monday and to be expecting a call from her. Monday comes, I take time away from my work to call around 11. No answer so I leave a voice message explaining the situation. No call returned to me. I call again later that day while im at work. I speak with someone and am told that I should be expecting a call back from the manager. I wait until an hour after I get off assuming they’re just busy. I call again and get the same lady who recognized my name and said that the manager forgot to call me. Finally, after 5 days of waiting for this issue to be resolved, it sort of is. She put me down on a 12 month lease and I thought everything was fine. I get an email October 9th saying they’re missing certain emergency contact information. I don’t see the email until the 13th but I reply with the necessary information. I get no sort of confirmation back. I email again on the 18th saying I still haven’t gotten my lease to sign. They reply on the 19th explaining they’re waiting on the lease manager to approve it so they can send it to me by either later that day or the next day on the 20th. So I wait, I’m checking my mailbox. Maybe they’re just busy again right? I email AGAIN on October 22nd at 12:30 pm, nothing but the generic automated reply. The same happens on the 27th. I called them yesterday the 29th at 12:50 pm and left a voicemail message. I’m sure you can guess by now that I’ve still heard nothing back. I’ve emailed and called numerous times and if my work allowed id have gone in several more times but I work for the state and am slammed. I’m sick and tired of the bs with this. I’m trying to get my stuff figured out I’ve emailed and called numerous times and you’re telling me not ONE person has had the time to check their email or voicemail? That’s a joke. This is so extremely unprofessional, stressful, and unnecessary. It’s negligent and I just want my lease to sign. It shouldn’t be so hard."

"Great experience as a tenant. Super welcoming community. Did have a bit of an issue upon moveout but now that it’s all resolved I would highly recommend east lake and would have stayed if it was closer to my program! Management and maintenance are also responsive"
