Highland View Apartments

"Fridge stopped working on a Saturday and they could not fix it and Did NOT get me a replacement until Monday had to throw out all my food no place to keep cold and they would not even help me by giving me a gift card for $100 to get some more food in between paydays. I have lived here 10 years and I think it’s time to start looking for a new home. When I first moved in I thought this is a good place, they raise the rent every year doubled me did a 6 month increase then got me again after 6months for a year and can’t even help me with the food I had to throw out because they could not get me a replacement fridge for 2 days."

"Moving in has been wonderful, the apartment is clean and nice and the amenities are nice. The road set up is a bit odd. There are several dead end areas and difficult access to the 2 entrances/exits of the properties. This is a pet friendly campus, which was a bonus to us as we wanted a cat. However there is the downside of other tenants not cleaning after their dogs. The staff has been very responsive in sending maintenance to clean the walkways/entrance areas of droppings. The refurbished apartments have a washer/dryer hookup, but the ones that have not been do not. There are coin operated laundry at each end of each floor of our building (and I believe all buildings). Allo service is "ready" at each apartment, meaning the router is left in each apartment when the previous tenant leaves. If you intend to use Allo, this makes the set up of a new account very quick and easy. I had ours up and running with a single phone call in less than 20 minutes. The staff is very kind and helpful. We've had several interactions with them from when we first started the research process to moving in. Overall we are very happy with our choice to move into these apartments."

"Worst experience in apartments I have ever had. Go live literally anywhere else rather than any CIP community. Our rent was $1,140.00, after our one year lease they sent us a letter stating we can renew for another year or go month to month. If we went month to month our rent would be raised to over $1,500.00. If we renewed for another year, they offered us a $35 discount on rent. This increase is criminal. The hallways are so disgusting and outdated. They constantly smell like marijuana and smoke. We lived next to a family who would scream and yell, you can hear everything in your apartment from the hallways and if people are screaming in units close by. There is a number of times I felt unsafe there because of the people we lived across from. We didn’t have laundry in our unit, the shared units are a joke. People trash them, and throw your clothes on the floor, behind the washer, etc. I emailed highland once because someone washed clothes with about a pound of sand and it was everywhere. They didnt care enough to even respond to address the issue, and I had to clean it up myself to be able to wash clothes. They will squeeze every penny they can get out of you at move out too. Highland consists of a bunch of corporate crooks, go live somewhere where you are respected as a resident."

"I am enjoying my new ceiling fan and it looks great in my apartment. The one drawback is that the carpet was covered in ceiling debris from the installation. Clean up should be part of the installation process so I am not having to clean up after their work."
