Reviews of Lincoln Family Medicine Center
"This place is absolutely terrible! They kept me off of medication for my blood sugars for over two weeks and they were running 400 and 500. Then they put me on the wrong antibiotic and left me on it for over a weekend and called me later to tell me they gave me the wrong one and that my body would not take it and I had to schedule a new appointment to come in to get a new antibiotic and go pay for that. I have to pay $25 a visit and they keep making me come in there for the stupidest things that they should’ve had figured out already. I tried talking to Courtney Hervert about what was going on and she told me to go find a new place. Also, most of the front desk staff are rude to the patients very short with them. They ask you to be to your appointment 15 minutes early and I showed up at 8 o’clock and they didn’t open the door till after 810. I was even told by a doctor there that I was better off going to the hospital."
"Visited this dr office with a friend. The dr was basically trying to push dieting and weight loss down his throat. Completely ignoring the fact that my friend has lost a significant amount of weight in the last two years. This particular dr is moving to another state to be a sports medics doctor. I think that’s why he was so fixated on weight loss because he was an exercise health nut. I can appreciate wanting to give advice but this guy wouldn’t shut up about it. My friend is switching dr office because this place is a joke. Not to mention the lady his blood draw took 3 times to find his vein leaving his arm soar and uncomfortable . So glad he is changing his dr office."
"I waited 7 months to write this review in hopes I would soften a little. I have not. Initially established as a teaching clinic for lower income patients. Doctors are interns & change frequently. All of those positive, progressive & benevolent startup intentions are no longer representative of this clinic in practice or symbolism. At my annual visit to renew my prescription. The new Dr., , whom I had not met, said there were no notes in my file in relation to my condition or medication for the previous year and wondered: "If you actually had this condition, how is it possible that you haven't taken medication for over a year" - which is ridiculous as I did and have to take the medication daily. Thus, their records were in error or she just hadn't read the file. A quick call to Walgreens would have easily confirmed this, but she brushed this aside, kept saying - it's not in the file and kept grilling me. She asked health questions but did NOT listen to my answers, often talking over my answer. She treated me like a sub-human and told me they would be doing a battery of medical tests that would take most of the day. She would not tell me what they were looking for and was agitated that I had asked. I know that the only relevant medical indicator is an unusually significant increase in blood pressure - which can be established by the vitals which a nurse takes at your visit. (118/70 - thank you very much). Tests they wanted to do had NOTHING to do with this - but they were extremely costly. Yes, I have insurance, but that's not the point. The Dr. could/would not tell me WHY she wanted each of the 5 or 6 tests, or WHAT they wanted to ascertain, thus the point of the tests is unnecessary. WE ALL PAY for insurance one way or another. I expressed my concern about this fleecing (I used much nicer words - but that's what it was), I was subjected to a personal berating and a lecture about how they had to be very careful because "some people just go and sell the medication". She said that since I was "refusing" tests then I would be "required" to have my blood taken for a "drug" test to ensure I wasn't "selling" the prescription. Yes, she actually said that. I had absolutely nothing to hide, so I was fine with that, until I thought about it later. I am 60 years old, in extremely good health and a professional in the law enforcement arena. I have NEVER been treated in this manner and I have seen people arrested on the street for actually selling meth whom were treated with greater respect. My insurance claim even stated "Drug Screening". The mere suggestion of such an infraction would cost me my job. It's important to note that NO other tests were done, even on my blood. Tests for which, initially it was inferred were vitally important for my health and well being - even if they couldn't say why. Additionally, they kept screwing up the prescription and the location, I had to make numerous return calls in an effort to straighten it out. I then did have to go an extra 20 days without my prescription because they could not get it right - this compromised my physical functioning and did put my health at risk, unnecessarily. Horrific, degrading, mortifying and, literally, an unhealthy experience. The Clinic has decided to put the almighty $$ and profit margin above their hypocratic oaths. The compromised ethics of trying to bleed $ out of the insurance company as opposed to patient care and then becoming in aggressive, accusatory and bullying behaviors. SHAMEFUL. Thus, ultimately this practice does not give a sh** about their patients. This is tragic and disgusting. I feel so very sorry for the families that need to use this facility. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD FAMILY CLINIC - KEEP LOOKING."
"This medical practice was sent 3 request to release and send patient health info to our new doctor and NEVER sent anything. We've been seeing a different and way better doctor for two years! The law is that patient health info is to be sent, if it is requested, within thirty days....3 request in two years and still nothing. I will be calling my attorney to sue!"
"I've honestly not had any trouble here and our experiences have been quite pleasant outside of one doctor we ended up seeing because ours wasn't available that day. It is a teaching facility so your doctor won't be your doctor very long but I knew this ahead of time. Anytime I have called, they have been able to get my son in the same day to be seen and the wait isn't terribly long. The nurses, doctors and staff have been very friendly and attentive, listening to our concerns and providing great medical care."
