Reviews of Western Sleep Medicine
"It's a joke that WE pay you and you have the audacity to set the time we sleep for the study. We all don't work a first shift job so not all of us can go to sleep at 8-9 pm. WE pay you the money, so WE should be able to schedule when we're ready to sleep before the appointment."
"I would not recommend. Called several times needing help with the cpap machine and never received any."
"Rarely have I had a better clinical experience, and that's from two years solid of being sent to some of the better experts in many fields across the country. John, the sleep study "technician" seems more like he has several advanced degrees in pulmonary, cardio and neurological studies. The MDs behind the program seem to be second to none in their filed as well, and apparently several of them tour and are asked to speak at international events as leaders in their fields. What a blessing!"
"Not a good experience. First of all, I can’t imagine any normal person being able to sleep during the study with all the wires hooked to your body as well as being in a room that resembles a storage closet. It ended up being one of the worst nights of sleep that I’ve ever had. And, as it turns out, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. The study data was sent to a doctor that isn’t even in the same state to be interpreted. That cost me quite a bit of extra money because the doctor was out of my insurance network. Also, after reading the doctors report, I realized that there was misleading and false information in it. I asked them to omit the misleading stuff and rewrite the report. The doctor wouldn’t omit the misleading information, and would only add an addendum to the end of the report. Well, the sleep study was for my work, and by the time that the people that count read the report, the damage had already been done when they got to the addendum. I was prescribed a CPAP machine, and it just so happens that they also sell the machines, and all the supplies that I’m going to need for the machine. If I had it to do over again, I would probably do a home study, but not with this company. I really don’t like the fact that I didn’t even get to talk to the doctor. I guess as long as they got their money, that’s all that matters."
"They had me wear a sensor on my finger for one night in my own home, in total this test cost $765 dollars... This sensor is available on amazon for $40. So far three different companies have charged me for that single test. The staff did not know how to operate their cpap machines and at one point confused the machine with a non functional floor model. No other apnea treatments were discussed other than the cpap (that they sell themselves.) At no point during my two tests was a doctor available to speak to (although i was charged for the doctors "interpretation",) they instead sent data to my general practitioner. I am unsure if any doctors even work there. I do not recommend their services"
