"They traumatized my child he was forced every Saturday to take a wash cloth and go up and down his walls In his room if he got caught not doing it one wash cloth length over he would have to redo it he has to wash his bed frame too sweep and mop his room and do the same in the bathroom with a wash cloth he was forced to clean toilets the shower this was all on Saturday he was forced to clean dishes dry them sweep mop wash tables if he didn’t he got level they would make him sit in a dark corner with a plastic table and write social skills if he stoped for 1 minutes to take a break because his hand Hurt they would make him do another hour if he did not do it word for word another hour if he miss spelled one thing another hour they made him clean the pig pen sheep rabbits goats he had to walk to school and walk up 6 flights of stairs 6 times a day every single day you can’t see or talk to your child for a week once they get there the staff threaten my child told him he would never go home they made him cut his hair they forced him to do things he did not want to or they would hold him down my child had nightmares when he got home for months he had to see help and still has to to this day he is so scared or this place he cry’s when he hears the name of this place my child has not been the same since going here they made my child a slave I told them I was going to press charges and they threatened me with if I do my child would get taken away from me forever my family and child are traumatized buy what they did to him and my family this is not even everything DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE THEY WILL MAKE HIM A SLAVE AND THEY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME you can’t take your child out when you want In there papers they have you sign they secretly make you sign away your parental rights and give your child to them they can tell you no about taking your child out"

"St. Joes now has been caught removing negative reviews from past residents and their parents. That alone should tell you they do not want their actions under the microscope. They do not use best practices, staff is poorly trained and often default to physical restraint, they ignore medical problems and push psychiatric medication to keep kids compliant and often deny young women proper feminine hygiene products. The TTI industry is grossly unregulated."

"This place kept me for 4 months and I got out today this place was okay some of the staff were rude and cooks gave us moldy bread and were rude some of the staff made people bleed in restraints my friend got fat shamed and staff were racist to her all of the staff who were nice was curtain marcilina and enez the rest were so rude the unit I was in is alpha and it was not so bad the rooms were very small but yeah that’s all I have to say good luck Saint Joseph’s children’s home"
