"I’ll start with the only positive. The lab staff is incredible, compassionate, and respectful. They’re the type of people a place like this desperately needs. The vast majority of this hospital has the most toxic environment I’ve ever experienced. I’m convinced that hatred and nastiness is a required trait to be employed here because of how bad you’re treated as a patient. Not only are you given nasty looks from the moment you walk through the doors, you are their LAST priority and they make it known that you’re interrupting them by even being there. It’s disgustingly shocking considering they’re the people you have to see if you’re sick or dying, people who have no problem treating you with blatant disrespect and even hatred. I don’t know why the staff is so miserable, but it’s gotten tremendously worse in recent years. I truly feel bad for anyone who’s had to seek medical attention here. Unless you’re one of maybe ten people that they like, you’re treated like a nuisance not a person. They made something that was already awful and traumatic an even worse experience. Grow up and learn how to treat human beings."
"This place needs real professionals! One I went to the ER I didn’t go for just my flu but also went because I’ve been losing chunks of my hair and haven’t been keeping food down…. I had told them I had that issue way before I got the flu…so clearly they didn’t listen well and blame the flu for those issues! Not only that they didn’t even seem to care! I felt like I was talking to a wall! They didn’t even run tests only swab my nose and that was it…. Then I called to speak to a nurse because I didn’t want to take my son to the ER and then them saying something stupid and us getting sent back home… so I called and told them my son has been running 104.9 temp… they told me they couldn’t take my insurance and take them to the children hospital….. one there’s a lot of us parents out here that use medicade…. As a hospital THEY SHOULD ACCEPT IT!!!!! To remind them! This is the ONLY HOSPITAL IN ALLIANCE SADLY!!!!! so I took my son to the children clinic! They’re amazing anyways my son oxygen was to low! His fever remain the same and here we finally are in the hospital! Let me add the date 1/3/24 @ around 2-3 he got admitted and let me tell you they serve me a meal… I haven’t really ate anything all day cause kids and myself being sick took a bite and smelled mold I didn’t even chew or ate anything else on the plate and so here I am holding the meat in my mouth… flip the burger over and there’s mold!!!! Like really don’t you guys check and label your food!??? Kitchen needs to be fired! Hire someone new! That or learn to label your food!!!!!!!!"
"Great place to have procedures done. Everyone from the surgery center nurses to the anesthesiology and Dr Bomberg were very friendly and did a great job keeping me informed and couldn't have asked for a better result from a total hip replacement."
"I have been to this ER four times, because I am in stage 5 kidney failure, I have lupus, I have a blood clotting disorder, chronic fatigue and chronic pain and never once have I been treated properly, in a timely manner, with respect or dignity. Tonight I went in for severe back pain and the doctor proceeded to tell me I was killing myself because I stopped dialysis 8 months ago and all he wanted to talk about were my kidneys. I drove myself to regional West medical center where I was able to be treated and diagnosed for my back pain, something the doctor and the ER and alliance refused to do. he told me he would do a CAT scan but refuse to treat my pain even though I told him I could not lay down before he even brought up a CAT scan. I had to go to this ER a couple months ago for an allergic reaction to one of my medications and the doctor that night did absolutely nothing. give me a topical steroid cream and told me to only use it once. The allergic reaction got so bad I ended up going to quick Care ran by regional West, where the doctor there prescribed me with an allergic reaction medication and steroids and my allergic reaction cleared up in 2 days. do not trust The ER at box Butte general hospital. You will find no answers or relief. just make the drive to regional West and don't waste your time with these incompetent unprofessional "doctors"."
"--*EDIT*-- 9-16-2020 : Please note that most every negative review dates back to years ago, and years ago some patients had problems with services rendered and/or billing. Nothing bad from me to say here in these things, only praise. My experiences with Box Butte General Hospital these last several weeks as an inpatient have been mighty close to perfection. A couple of minor disruptions, nothing worth mentioning really. Am happy the VA chose to send me here to Urology after it was going to take 4 months to be seen by a medical doctor at my VA Medical Center, though they DID get me assigned and seen by a good Physicians Assistant in a timely manner. Both the urologist who is here on Mondays and Tuesdays, Dr. Stacy Childs, and his assistant Megan have helped to lift me up and out of the dirt, as I was in really bad shape. The other 2 other physicians I've seen, Dr. Varble and Dr. Smith, have both been top shelf, in my estimation. They listen to you as well as get on the same page as the patient, and the nursing and aide staffing are among the best of the best I've had the pleasure of experiencing during over a dozen years within the medical industry itself. They've all helped to turn my situation around in the biggest way physically, mentally, and emotionally. Am thus far quite pleased with the level of care, courtesy, and respect that I'm receiving from the Urology and Infusions Departments here at Box Butte General Hospital as well as inpatient services and muscle rehabilitation. Food is decent as well, always given choices ahead of time, never a bad meal yet. Were I any happier about BBGH then I'd have to be twins. Thank you for plowing through this extensive reviewing. Just couldn't say it with any less. Years have passed. BBGH is worth another look if you've not been served by them this past year or so. If you're unhappy then please state why. Highly recommended."
