"My family had an unfortunate experience with Apple Family Dental during our recent visits. In April, I brought my 18-month-old for an initial appointment, indicating that he did not have insurance. The dental office assured us that the visit for our toddler would be free, and I assumed this was due to his age. There was no mention of any promotions during this interaction. In November, we returned for another appointment and were surprised to receive a bill. Despite the lack of services provided during my two-year-old son's visit, they charged approximately $125. The poor communication about the first-time free visit, combined with the minimal to no care my son was given during the visit, led to confusion regarding the billing. Upon receiving a call from the office requesting payment, we were informed that only a $10 discount could be offered. While acknowledging the miscommunication, the office displayed a lack of concern for the situation and prioritized financial matters over understanding our perspective, especially during the holiday season. This experience was unexpected, as we were seeking a dental practice that values genuine patient care. Although I recognize that my son was not covered by our insurance, I feel misled due to the office's failure to communicate a one-time promotion adequately. In light of this experience, we have decided to explore alternative dental offices that prioritize patient well-being and communication, as opposed to focusing solely on financial transactions."
