Reviews of Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln ReStore

"I purchased a vacuum at this store. On the receipt it says you have 30 days to return electrical items if the product isn't working. After using the vacuum I realized that it wasn't picking up lint from the carpet as well as expected. Also was very loud. A hinged compartment that held one of the tools was defected. A person had to struggle to get it closed. So I decided I should return the product since it was still within 30 days. I must say the young man working as a cashier was very friendly and accommodating. He said he would have to have his manager deal with the situation. They were busy so I went around the store to shop. I saw a man a short while later come back with the vacuum. He had taken it back to check the vacuum himself. So I asked him what he discovered. He said the bag wasn't in properly and one of the filters was very dirty. I had checked the bag myself before so one that wasn't the case. Also the filter wasn't bad. When I asked about the broken compartment he said a person just had to wiggle it around a little to get it closed! He did it in front of me and had difficulty! So in other words, I was stuck with a worthless vacuum. At that point I was so upset with him that I knew I had to just walk out of there without the vaccum and take the loss otherwise I would have lost my cool. I have worked retail. They don't seem to want to make customers satisfied. No reason they couldn't have accepted my return with store credit."
"I recently moved across the country to Lincoln and needed to buy furniture for my new apartment. I love to reuse things so Restore was my first stop. The store is clean and well run, with fair pricing. I want to give a particular shout out to an employee named Ginger. She went above and beyond to help me figure out how to remove some dresser drawers (I’m a senior) to make the dresser easier to carry. She persisted until she conquered the problem. What fabulous customer service! I’m so grateful."
"I really enjoy the new ReStore in south Lincoln. I appreciate the selection of products & the order they have them in. Easy to find items. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are generally reasonable and fair. I restore and upcycle decor and furniture, I’m able to afford pieces, do my thing, and still pass items along to end users at a fair price. That’s what a recycling restore is all about. And it keeps things out of the landfill."
"What an interesting place! It's like a thrift store for DIY home remodelers, or a place to take your old furniture or building supplies when you take them out of your house. Some of the items seemed pretty pricey considering they are pre-owned, but there's such a smorgasbord of odds and ends from furniture to fridges, lots of various boxes of nails and screws, a hundred different light fixtures, all kinds of doors and trim work, and a lot of small batches of tiles."
