"We moved to Dix about two years ago. And shop here often. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a small hometown market so the prices are not the best. But we prefer to spend our money here and keep it in Kimball, than going to Sidney."
"The burger patties were disappointingly dry and cold, due to being precooked. While price increases are acceptable, it's frustrating when the quality declines with higher costs."
"Higher prices and lower quality in the deli. Burgers are now pre-cooked burger patties, no longer freshly made to order. Instead they are pre-cooked and then quickly reheated on the griddle to melt the cheese when you order. It's unfortunate that they have to cut corners and at the same time raise prices so the quality and freshness of the food at the deli has went downhill. Half the time the burger I recieve is only lukewarm and definitely tastes old, dry, and reheated. They used to be fresh, hot and juicy. Their fish meal used to be fried fresh to order and was hot and crispy - it used to be one of my favorite meals, and now unfortunately the fried fish sits under a heat lamp and is all soggy when you recieve it (at ~$5.00/piece it should be fried fresh). Same applies with their breaded chicken - all pre-cooked and sat under a heat lamp to get soggy and chewy. It's sad they are now cutting corners in quality. I'm glad the deli is open more often, but the compromise in quality of food doesn't quite make up for it."
"This is a cute little market and a we were only driving through, stopped to see about seafood options (hoping for smoked fish) but didn't find what we were looking for. We did notice this seems to be a morning coffee place for locals as there was an area with several tables and older gentlemen sitting chatting and relaxing."
"Small town grocery with a big heart. Friendly service and competitive prices with similar services. We were able to get two hot breakfasts, with a drink for close to five dollars in dining area."
