"Recently moved to ABQ in May. Had new patient appt with Dr. Castillo for 2 1/2 months to see her. Arrived 30 mins ahead like I was told for paperwork. Front office tells me she's running 1 1/2 hours behind. I said I just drove from the westside-30 min drive. "You couldn't have called me". Their response was "She likes to spend alot of time with her patients". I said" I'm not waiting 2 hours" just to see her. The front office never said I'm sorry or anything. With my 2 hours waiting, at least an hour appt and 30 mins to get home that would have been 4 HOURS of my time to see this Dr. The front office made me another appt for a month away. I called back that same day about medical records that we had filled out in the office in June for my husband. The front desk told me to call medical records which I did. They had no requests from the front office. I called back to the front office and was told by the women in there that she did her job and the records were in the computer. While I was on the phone I heard the front desk man say that they had a cancellation with Dr. Castillo (I can see why!!!) for the following week. The women never offered me that appt. The front desk says they did their job, medical records says they don't have the forms we filled out in June IN THE OFFICE. So far NOT impressed with OPTUM at all and I cancelled my follow up appt. with Dr. Castillo. I will never go to a Dr. that puts such little value on my time. After reading other reviews I see she has done this very thing to lots of people and then is so rude after waiting all that time to see her. I've found another Dr. I don't write many reviews but felt compelled to write this about this totally disrespectable behavior from her and the staff. Would give zero stars but have to give one to post. Sounds like she needs to retire!!!"

"I saw her a few years back. She is a horrible person in general. As a Dr. She is rude, condescending, & doesn't listen. She went over time on my appt asking questions and typing notes then had the nerve to blame me. Her overall demeanor is abrasive & combative. She acts like she is looking for a fight. She is not in any way a healer. There is nothing about this Doctor or her bedside manner that I have anything good to say about. Her office staff seemed shocked when I cancelled my follow up appt & refused to reschedule. I am sure she has had many cancellations. Judging from these reviews there are many people who agree with me. Apparently she is no longer with Lovelace. Hopefully she is no longer practicing medicine. Goodbye & good riddance."

"First off she made us wait an hour after our appointment my mother is old and impatient and Dr castillo comes in starts reading someone else's chart when I tell her my mother didn't have some surgery that shes reading off her screen she argued with me several times til she said the patients name told her my mother's name is not the one you're looking at and she said oh , not I apologize just got an attitude and said i've being seeing people since 7am and I haven't been able to go to pee ...and that's our fault why? Very rude not recommending her to my worst enemy and by the way she must have one heck of a bladder"

"Dr. Castillo has been our family doctor for more than 10 years. I appreciate her thoroughness and her frankness. She is always up-to-date on the latest vaccines and public health issues. I have recommended her to many of my family and friends as the best doctor we have ever been seen by."

"I loved everything about my experience at Lovelace and most importantly, Dr. Castillo. I have never had a physician review my medical history in such detail (in person). Quite frankly, Dr. Castillo's probing questions revealed some interesting insight into some things that I had never considered before and explained some medical issues about which I have wondered for years. She is thorough, precise, caring and sneaks in some humor to boot. I am being contacted by Lovelace's referral system to schedule appointments with physicians in other specialties as my medical status requires (how easy is that?). Dr. Castillo has since personally phoned me twice to follow up on outstanding medical issues -- I have NEVER had that happen before. I was able to get my labs done and an x-ray completed in the same facility the same morning. I highly recommend Dr. Castillo and the Lovelace network!"
