Reviews of Milo Apartments
"Serious maintenence issues go unaddressed. There is a leak in my friend's ceiling that they previously "fixed" (over a month after the maintenence ticket was put in and the ceiling had come crumbling down). It appears they only patched the ceiling and didnt fix the leak in the roof because a few months later there is now visible discoloration indicating a moisture leak. Its been over a week since he put in a ticket and they havent fixed it. If they cant even prioritize such a serious maintenece issue that jeopardizes the structural integrity of their buildings, you imagine how poorly managed everything else is. The hallways of the building reek and are filthy. There's dog feces all over the complex AND ON BALCONIES because people leave their dogs out on them. Roof tiles frequently fall of the buildings. They replaced the wood building entrance doors with those cheap glass doors usually used for commercial buildings, told residents they were going to have a lock installed (and even gave everyone a key), but the exterior building doors still dont lock, so now the miniscule security of the buildings is even lower. However for some reason they replaced the number plaques in everyone's door, even though there was nothing wrong with the old ones. The place is extremely ADA unfriendly (stairs at every entrance and no elevators), so you better hope you never sprain your ankle or worse. There's also no recycling, if thats something you care about (which you should). Maintence also will break/damage possesions and will claim to have fixed issues they havent. The mainentence also leaves trash outside all around the complex. Avoid Greystar at all costs."
"Worst experience yet!! Sharron was super rude and not friendly, made sure to let us know she wasn’t happy we were interrupting her training time . Spoke in a very rude tone to myself and my 3 year old son. Then proceeded to make it seem like she was doing us a favor for showing us around. She also brought along a couple that was scheduled 30 min after us on the same viewing ! She was equally rude to them. We left before we even got to see all of the apartments, nobody should be talked to this way! Save yourself the time and look elsewhere!"
"Dec 2023 update: The maintenance team finally replaced the closet door that was broken when I moved in back on June 30 (after 6 months). They had marked my work order request for the closet door replacement (that I created when I moved in on July) as completed. Another work order for clogging water in my patio was closed out without being addressed. When asked, they always say they have a report of the problems to be addressed and they will take care of it, but never do. I am tired of having to keep calling the leasing office. Dear Milo Management, please do something about answering phone calls and maintenance. The staff have been aleays nice and friendly to me, but please don’t ignore residents’ phone calls, or at least call back once you receive a message. I’ve only recently moved in and I like the apartment and it’s locality. They even addressed the emergency air conditioning issue I had when I moved in, on the same day. They are doing a good job renovating the whole place. But since then my experience had only gotten worse. Phone calls being ignored, not receiving call backs, multiple visits to the leasing office to complain about maintenance requests that have been in the portal for months (some are still not addressed btw). Please work to get the washers and dryers in the buildings up and running, because it seems like renovation in building 4 is completed, but washers and dryers are still down. Tried reaching out to the company that maintains them, but no response. Again, I am happy with the apartment and I would happily change my review to 5 stars if I start receiving better service from the leasing office."
"I called the emergency maintenance line literally 2 weeks ago today. Our shower is gushing water from the shower handle. We have it turned off but it sounds like the shower is constantly running because of how much water that is pouring out. I’ve called the office numerous times over 2 weeks, called the maintenance line again and nothing has been done. Never in my life, have I lived somewhere where they take over 2 weeks to fix something. I moved in, in April, the tiles (to the same shower) were missing and was told “no worries they’ll come in and fix it”. Here I am in November still with the tiles waiting to side for them to come fix. I’ve been nothing but nice and patient but they simply do not care."
"I don't even know where to start. Parking: At least 2-3 people got their cars stolen. We were told last year that there would be gates installed soon and that never happened. A few sketchy people walk around at night but I do see people walking their dogs too which is nice. Only plus is lots of open free parking. None assigned but you gotta pay $40+ if you want a spot with a carport though people park in your spot anyway. Security is a hit or miss. They don't always do their job. I got wrongly booted over a misunderstanding but they don't boot the cars that actually needed to be. Amenities and grounds: People don't clean up after their dogs. So when it rains, it only ever smells like feces. You have to watch your step, mainly in the rocks. I never see kids on the playground, Just graffiti. Clearly it isn't safe or sanitary. Such a small section too. The pool has been shut down for who knows how long. We only just got a notification that the pool was open last week, even though we're moving out by the end of this month. Gym always seems to be locked up. The hours to use it are during office hours and that's also when normal working hours are too. No one can use the gym if everyone is working. Sundays are closed too. Maintenance: Basically don't exist. The laundry facilities aren't actual facilities. It's just a small room with one washer and dryer in each building. They've always been broken and unusable for who knows how long and maybe about a few months ago they finally took the machines out to fix the flooring inside the building (which also took forever for them to do), but the machines were left cluttering the doorway for a whole month or longer. Only until last week the machines were gone and the doorway had easy access. There was a huge bag of trash left by the doorway too, which is still there. Why'd it take so long to get the machines out of the way? They aren't even in the laundry room. It's still empty. I appreciate the door being replaced now, it's much easier to open. It's supposed to be locked at all times unless we have a key but it's never locked. Thankfully no homeless people snuck in or anything, that I know of. The corridor used to have awful torn-up carpet, but it's now a nice flooring that they took so long to do. But now it's loud, echoey and you can hear everything. I don't think anyone cleans the area since there are so many dead bugs everywhere. Our air conditioner has been broken for literally the entire year and they still haven't fixed it but keep marking it off as done. At least 4 times having to deal with this. Winter was fine since we didn't need AC. The heater worked well at least. Our dishwasher stopped working twice, garbage disposal never worked, handles were falling out, the shower kept flooding, our sliding door has never been fixed when they said they were going to fix it before we moved in. Out of everything requested for fixing, they only actually replaced the 2 light bulbs that were out. Which wasn't even a priority compared to everything else, and they took a while to do even that. The window screens don't even fit right on the windows, so it's so easy for bugs to come in and people to break into. Roaches: The roaches are another thing. We pay pest control for nothing to be done about it. The roaches are EVERYWHERE. Infestation is probably more accurate. I can't count the amount of times I had to kill them in my own room even though I clean so often. Smaller ones and only a few handful of bigger ones were inside. They're all by the stairs outside and by the door. It's disgusting. Base rent for 2b 1b was $1320 but everything added up made us pay $1500+ absolutely ridiculous pricing for cheap quality place and no amenities. Renewing the lease would've jumped to $1400+ absolutely not. I can't wait to leave in a few days, such a headache. Terrible place compared to other same priced or cheaper apartments. Save money and go elsewhere. Greystar doesn't care about anything but money, I called the office about these issues multiple times but still nothing changes. Not worth it."
