"Did some initial work to detect leak in a wall, but didn't respond to complete the work by closing up the wall. Dylan: Thanks for your response. It's been about a year - we had someone else help us find the source of the leak (the roof) and make the necessary repairs. There are two main issues I have with your response: (1) If a property owner calls you about a repair, it's good to follow up directly with that property owner about any problems you may find. As you found out, the tenants are usually the wrong people to talk to; (2) Correctly diagnosing the problem is important. The handyman we called subsequent to your visit was able to fairly quickly find that it was a leak in the ceiling that was causing the wetness in the wall. From your response, it seems like you made some attempts to diagnose the problem, but (a) they were wrong and (b) you never discussed them with us."
