"Wow, we had Avera midwives recommended to us by trusted friends after we had a very uncomfortable and nearly combative experience at Sanford's women's clinic. The midwife group at Avera has been so caring and open-minded with my wife and me for both of her pregnancies. Our midwife, Courtney, always gave us natural and holistic advice for our journey and helped my wife to have two completely natural births. The nurses and midwives were always encouraging to us and empowered us to make the best decisions and to have the courage to see them through. Pregnancy and giving birth is an amazing gift and experience but it is a very vulnerable time and the Avera Midwife staff made us feel safe and at home knowing they understood our desires and gave us the information and skills to see it through.
