"Food is ok here for me. Rice, for me, has too much tomato sauce. Food has no flavor. I know my friends like to eat there so I go when they invite me."
"Got the Charlie burger with red chili and the wife got the bacon breakfast burrito smothered with green chili. Was told I got to try it with a egg on top? Gonna try it next time for sure."
"The food was great the service was good but the atmosphere was a little concerning. There is many obese customers that like to go in 30 minutes before closing and ordering a whole feast. As a Community we need to respect their time and give them the 30 minutes that they need to clean. Maybe you guys can go to the gym or go for a run. The obesity problem is the reason Americans are looked down on. You liberal sissies . The obese community has ZERO respect for the hardworking Americans in the food service industry. Sincerely, Rebecca"
"My husband and I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend, and we're very glad we did! We arrived at the height of the lunch hour, but we only waited a couple of minutes to get a table in the cozy, casual dining room. We both ordered the chicken fried steak with 2 eggs, potatoes (hashbrowns or papitas), and bread (toast, tortilla, or sopaipilla), and it was excellent. The chicken fried steak was crispy on the outside and tender inside, and it was covered in a well-seasoned cream gravy. My husband's hash browns were buttery and pleasantly crunchy, and my papitas were hot and fresh. Eggs were cooked exactly as we'd requested. We both asked for green chile, and it was flavorful and just spicy enough to cut through the creaminess of the gravy and the richness of the egg yolk. My husband ordered the tortilla, which he used to wipe his plate afterward, but they still gave us two sopaipillas (because who wants to eat a sopaipilla alone?). Their sopaipillas were light, freshly-made, and served with honey, and they were the perfect way to end our meal. If you pay with cash, you'll avoid paying a small credit card convenience fee. Waitresses are friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back, and we look forward to checking out their other location in Los Lunas!"
"Very popular restaurant in Belen. My first time here. Excellent breakfast and lunch menu choices. Felt very down home and community oriented. Large portions and yummy sopapillas. Server was friendly. You have to drive a few minutes off the interstate to Main Street, which is very simple. Ample parking."
