"Terry is the best Rock Shop owner in SD! My significant other and I are from MN and buy all of our rocks and fossils strictly from his shop. He’s so knowledgeable and could tell you stories about where his rocks are from and how he obtained them. We spend hours looking and “adding to our pile” to bring back home. He has some of the most rare rocks that no other shops have. Hello from Hailey and Ryan! See you in a few weeks!"

"Ginger and Terry are awesome! We stopped in twice because of how wonderful they were. Got some gorgeous book ends, a nice druzy agate pendant, and some beautiful amethyst. Prices are fair, and I can say this truly as I have been collecting for over 10 years. Came back a second time to pick up some of the beautiful dream catchers in store, and Ginger showed us genuine hospitality every time we came in. I will certainly come back the next time we are in town!"

"This rock shop is the best in Custer. If you love minerals and are interested in purchasing something that actually comes from the Black Hills you’ve found you’re spot. If you’d like to buy overpriced rocks, gems and minerals there are plenty of those around. The shop is full of different examples of what makes the Black Hills so unique. It’s not pretentious in decor, and may have some dust in the corners, which if you don’t know generally means it’s a real rock shop. Terry is always helpful and willing to tell you the story behind that vast examples he has in the store. Check it out, have fun looking and go home with a real gem!"

"Let me tell you these owners are amazing!!! Wife is super happy and husband is very generous. My wife and I just spend a week on our honeymoon and did a bunch of shopping. After making several stops all around the Back Hills we finally were able to make our stop here. The Rock Shop did not disappoint! The store is very clean and merchandised beautifully. Priced very fair and with a huge assortment of local and afar pieces to choose from. We shopped them pretty heavy picking up several large pieces from them. Being that we are from Texas it will be a bit before we make it back, but look out when we do. We will definitely need more room with their treasures. They are amazing, don’t just take my word for it, go check them out!"
