Reviews of Elena Gallegos Open Space
"Wonderful spot! $1-$2 to access parking, grills, and amazing hikes with views!"
"Absolutely amazing hikes on all trails at this area and gorgeous picnic areas as well We are lucky to have this space in Albuquerque. Bring $2 for parking, it's well worth it."
"Amazing space with great staff and plenty of well maintained trails. Just wish the City of Albuquerque would update the hours of operation at least once or twice a year to prevent people from heading out on the trails and getting stranded, when google hours show open till 9pm, which is not accurate till April. The gates close at 7pm. Hope someone at the City of Albuquerque can take the time to support hikers and other visitors being aware of this to support everyones safety. Thanks !"
"Excellent trail system. There are trails for every level of hiker. There's a fee for entry, but if you live in the area a pass is an option at $30 a year. This is the best money I've ever spent. Most trails are shared with bikes and in my experience most bikers are very courteous as long as they can see you... There have been several times where I've had to jump out of the way very quickly, so if you have kids or dogs beware."
