Discovery Jungle Preschool

"Most definitely would not recommend & I don't even have a child attending. I called Monday to see if there were any openings for summer. I was told yes & that we should come in to talk about our daycare needs & to be able to look around. Was also told to have the child come as well. Set it up for my daughter to go in today with my grandson @ 9:30am. (I was told it was water play day, so either earlier or later would be best). She gets there & no one had a clue what she was talking about. Shesaid the lady she was talking to kept leaving & coming back. She got there at 9:35 because the gps took her on a wild goose chase. Then the lady looked at her watch & said, "well, it's 9:35 we're going on a field trip, so you'll have to reschedule". She also said it looked like there were lots of teenagers working there, but not many adults. This place may be a great place. I can't speak to the care the children receive. But the sheer disorganization & flip flopping of stories was enough for is to not reschedule."

"We have had our children at Discovery Jungle for almost three years. For the most part I have been very satisfied with the care my children received. The center is small and like a little family which is why I chose to send my children there. There has been a lot of staff turnover which is my only complaint. But because of the co director Angelique I kept my children there. Angelique has been the only staff member that has been there since we started. She has taken great care of my kids and I couldn’t be happier with her. She is always so positive and up beat and I feel like she has taken care of my kids like they are her own. My youngest graduates the preschool program and we will no longer be part of the DJP family but will continue on with the friendships we made."

"I was very lucky to find DJ for my 2 and 1/2 year old. We needed to make a switch at the beginning of summer 2019 to a new preschool without much time to investigate and apply for a program. My daughter has some special needs and required that the preschool program could accommodate those. DJ was open to hearing what those needs are and determining if they would be an appropriate fit for my daughter. I appreciated their honesty and openness to consider it. They ended up being a wonderful fit for her. The class size, the gentle and kind teachers, the well organized program is something my daughter looks forward to going to every time I announce it’s preschool day. I have also had the privilege of being educated as a mental health therapist that specializes in infant mental health. I have worked with children in many preschools around the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area and I can honestly say that DJ does a wonderful job meeting the developmental needs of the children and creates an environment that feels safe and peaceful. My child thrives in this environment and it is evidenced by the growth she has experienced while attending. I thank DJ for being a part of my child’s life. DJ has served as an important part of the team we’ve created to support her in this vital period of neurological development."

"My daughter has attended this school for the past 2 years. They have always been good to her. One of the concerns I had with other daycare facilities were the staff rotations. I never dropped off or picked up my child from the same person. At Discovery Jungle the staff is very consistent and kind. Not only do they form a bond with their students but they also do a wonderful job of getting to know the parents. The business was sold from the owner that I started with last year and I was a little nervous for the change but they did a really good job of making the transition seamless for the parents. I would recommend this place (and I do) to all my friends with little kids."

"My daughter attended here for two years. I always knew she was safe, well taken care of and learning. They have yoga and sign language days and so many, very cute, refrigerator worthy crafts coming home each day. Each teacher is patient and works well with the children. Even when my child wasn't working so well with them. I'd recommend this preschool/ daycare to anyone looking for care for their young children. My child was sad to leave, although they did help her to be very excited about entering kindergarten. I, also, feel she is more prepared."
