Reviews of New Mexico Urgent Care Eubank
"Long story short: Everyone I’ve met at this clinic are good people who want to help you get the care you need, and I know how difficult it is to find that in this area and many others. Wait times are as expected for urgent care, but never more than 1-1.5hrs in my experience. I highly recommend coming here for urgent medical needs! Long story long: The staff and providers at this location have always been caring and helpful, and I’ve only ever had positive experiences with them. Not only that, but in addition to treating an infection with the proper antibiotic regime, Dr. Baker recommended some vitamins & supplements to boost immunity and explained how to avoid getting sick again soon—which at the very least, has helped me feel better overall. Most significantly however, I have a back injury of my SI joint which has flared up twice in 10 years (age 15/16-25) since I got it, and it was bad enough where I could barely walk without someone’s help due to radiating pain. I went in about when they opened Saturday and they gave me a steroid shot, and I was walking again on my own by the end of the day, and now able to fully function without support. As someone who struggles with anxiety, something that really helped me get the care I need is how Dr. Baker talked me through the risks and advantages of taking medication in my situation rather than strictly physical therapy, including potential side effects and long-term usage risks. She even connected with me about her own experiences, helping me better understand the effects without ever making me feel pressured. The providers and staff here are wonderful."

"Giving this place a 1 star. I took my daughter in to be seen on Sunday 2/25- she had been running fever for 2 days and her sore throat was progressively getting worse. It was late so I called and they said as long as I was there before 7:30pm she could be seen since they close at 8pm. We got there at 7pm on the dot. They were quick to get her in a room (since no one else was there). The nurse came in and took my daughter’s vitals: her temp was normal (I had given her Motrin an hour before we went in), her heart rate was 123 and the nurse said that was normal. They also did a strep test. The doctor then came in and said the strep test was negative and her heart rate was high considering she didn’t have fever and therefore they couldn’t treat her in the clinic. I asked what needed to be done and she said she needed to be transported to the emergency room since they couldn’t treat her. She said she could test for the flu, but that it wouldn’t matter since I would still need to take her to the ER. She then went on to say, and I quote, “if her heart rate wasn’t so high, I would just send her home on antibiotics.” I feel like this is malpractice since she tested negative for strep, they didn’t want to test for the flu, and was just going to send her home with a prescription without knowing what was wrong with her. As the conversation went on, the doctor questioned me as to why I was bringing her in to the clinic that night. Again, I explained she has fever for 2 days, we thought nothing of it until her throat got so bad she stopped eating/drinking and lost her voice. The doctor said “we close at 8pm, so I can’t treat her here. She need to be monitored and I don’t have the equipment here to do it.” She wrote us a note and sent us on our way to the ER. We get to the ER, all the doctors and nurses reassured me her elevated heart rate was normal being that she had been running fever and hadn’t eaten or drank much that day. She tested positive for the flu at the ER. I’m very unhappy with this clinic because after getting more info from the ER doctors, it seems like the urgent care doctor didn’t want to treat my kiddo since they closed at 8pm. She made it seem like it was an emergency and I shouldn’t have brought her to urgent care, when in all reality, it was not an emergency at all. The urgent care doctor kept looking at her watch and reiterated she couldn’t treat her in clinic. The fact that she was just going to send her home on antibiotics (if her vitals were “normal”) when she has the flu is absurd to me! She talked to me as if I was dumb and even questioned why I was bringing her in. I will never return to this urgent care and I suggest no one else does either. Very poor service!"
"Friendly front desk folks, minimal paperwork, and I was seen pretty quickly. The support tech was wonderful and enjoyed what she was doing. The NP clearly had decades of experience and enjoyed her job. She was thorough but not impersonal and made it clear she was genuinely concerned about making sure I got better. I would not hesitate to go there again."
"I was pleased to be able to get in for eye irritation, but after filling out the paperwork waited 40 minutes to be taken back to the cubicle where vital signs were taken, waited 20 more minutes for the provider who questioned my reason for being there as well as my request for eye drops. She virtually questioned my requests completely and was very impersonal. I was the only patient at the time and took more than an hour for her 5 minute impersonal visit. I won't return."
