Reviews of Presbyterian Pain and Spine in Rio Rancho on High Resort Blvd
"Would be nice if you guys gave me a heads up that my insurance UHC would not cover the visit or even a part of it. You didn’t think to advise me of this prior to my visit? You can kick rocks in not paying a dime."
"Ben going for awhile, friendly and thoughtful"
"WARNING about this location (and possibly Presbyterian Pain and Spine in general): When they prescribe you pain medication, they have you sign a pain contract. I had been on a pain contract with them for two years with no problems. Then, my insurance changed and I called them to see if they would take my new insurance, which they wouldn't. So I told them I would need to seek treatment from another provider, which I did (and I wasn't warned about any consequence for doing so). Eight months later, my insurance changed back again and I was able to go back to this location, at which point I was told by this location that I had broken my pain contract (which, by the way, also doesn't explicitly warn you about this situation), because I had sought treatment from another provider, meaning this location is now refusing to prescribe any pain medication to me. It's one of those "gotcha" situations you don't think about, because you're just going about your life and normal events happen (such as your insurance changing) that you don't really anticipate when you're reading the fine print of the pain contract, let alone remember two years later when your insurance changes. Additionally, my latest "visit notes" from this location claimed that, during the period where my insurance wasn't accepted by Presbyterian, I had sought treatment from three other providers, which is an outright lie. I would love to know where they came up with that information. Of course, they didn't provide the list of other providers where I supposedly sought treatment. If anyone at this location is reading this, I would love to know which other providers you are falsely accusing me of seeking medication from (short of doing your due diligence and actually verifying). Otherwise, I respectfully request that you remove that accusation from my notes, please! Only ONE other provider prescribed me the medication during this period, which was the new specialist I was referred to by my primary doctor after my insurance changed. During the time I was being seen by this other provider, I continued to take the medication as prescribed and never abused it (or any other drugs), which, funny, could still be verified by Presbyterian if they actually did said due diligence. This is setting aside the fact that I have never failed a drug test or sought more medication than prescribed, ever. I could understand if I blatantly broke the contract and I understand the need to be strict with pain contracts, but refusing all future pain medication for an honest one-time mistake (if you can really even call it that) is a little much and now I will be dealing with the pain until I can manage to find yet another provider. They've made it pretty clear that they operate more on bureaucracy than good sense."
"If i could give zero i would i took my freind for a procedure and got sent home from a 2 hour drive and a long waiting time over a test they had not informed us that he needed got put on a list that has no date to when they can see him and also got categorized by the nurse over ower appearance asking us for a co payment when my freind had insurance clearly they have no care of the pain the patient is going threw..."
"Professional, friendly. The atmosphere is a little less friendly here than Kaseman as far as nursing but Dr.s are the same at both facilities. That is the only reason a 4 star instead of 5 star review. Maybe I was just more tense that day. Got the job done and considerate of PTSD. I couldn't have asked for more."
