Duke City Urgent Care

"Slow and disorganized. I went in for a dog bite. I was in a lot of pain. I want even asked about pain, not even one time. My pain wasn't address or treated in any way. They barely cleaned the wound and applied some steristrips, I had to ask for my wound to be covered so I could put my shoe back on. I want given care instructions for my wound. I want fivefold act file up information. They really did the absolute minimum and kicked me out the door."

"Not sure why this place has such bad reviews. Everyone was great and had great bedside manner. I was terrified to come here because of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. I fell and needed to get xrays. It did take a bit more than 3 hrs from start to finish, which would be my only complaint because I had an appointment and makes me wonder how long it would have taken without it, it still seems like the average time it has taken at any urgent care I've gone. Overall I'd recommend this place."

"Duke City "Cares" about your money. After insurance, we spent $900 to get three people prescriptions for pink eye. They were all seen simultaneously. Good thing my husband had the presence of mind to realize this was an absolute rip off once he heard about the $60 co-pay and refused to let them check him in even though his eyes were so puffy he could barely open them. We have 7 people in our family. All ended up with pink eye. Thank Goodness the prescriptions for 3 took care of all of us. It feels like fraud. It's a rip off. I will never go there again."

"I have never felt so ripped off in my life. Initial $150 for the most basic appointment ever and then received ANOTHER bill for additional $60....$210 for a prescription for antibiotics. Par for the course in Valencia County though... scammers abound in these parts and this company is surely no exception!! Stay below income threshold and keep that good free insurance or go elsewhere!! They will charge more than the $150 guaranteed!!"

"The majority of my visits there have been very good, and it is so excellent to have an urgent care with an xray in town. Do they help you with legitimate pain issues like broken bones...? No. But are they knowledgeable and good at what they do? Yes. I will say... you can tell that some times they really do want to help you with your obvious horrible pain issues, but as we all know, the medical community avoids prescribing those kinds of medications like the plague, for fear of the DEA and also because of junkies. Also... I love the British nurse practitioner(?) Wish I could remember her name. She is the best! Of all the urgent care places, i would say this place has one of the lowest wait times. The billing department is a bit slow sometimes...but they certainly get those bills out eventually!! If i need to have care urgently, i go here. I usually call first to see if there is a long wait, so I have never had problems being a walk-in."
