Reviews
"Well stocked supply store with friendly service."
"This place is a joke. Sure, I understand they can't compete with the big box stores, but one would think that they would try to offer top-notch customer service. Well, the people working here tried their hardest to drive away my business (I build homes in Belen), and it worked so well that I'm never going back. I can tolerate numb-skuls. Construction has a world of them. But, Ranchero has taken unprofessional behavior to a new level. Buyer beware."
"Great selection, great people, open, honest and helpful. Huge selection of steel and fencing."
"Reading through the reviews I couldn't help but notice the many references to racism, lack of respect for the customer, and price to value comparison. The prices were reasonable, the service and attention were not particularly friendly, but not overly negative. This store seems to operate on a business model that works for a small town with no competition - take what we offer or go elsewhere. A 20 mile round trip to Home Depot or Lowes will definitely get you better results, service, materials (that you can choose from), etc. Overall opinion, if you absolutely need something from here and are willing to adjust your work schedule to beat the "closed gate" at 4pm rush, don't mind being followed around the store, and are ok with a little "abrasive" interaction with the employees from time to time, you should be ok. Conclusion - What happens to businesses like this in small towns? Businesses that aren't willing to meet the customer half-way. These customers go the extra (20) miles to say to the owner, we are going elsewhere."
"Purchased over $3400.00 in marerials and attempted to return unneeded material twice. Both times was denied returns even with receipt. I was just told they are not accepting returns at this time. No explanation Was given. I will never do business there again. Take your money elsewhere"
