Reviews
"I think that this review has been a long time coming now. I would like to state that I am not a Douglas native. I come from a few cities away to get my care here. This will not be a review of the quick care clinic as all I have to say about it is that its bad, you will struggle over there and quite frankly its not worth the time. I went once. Saw Mrs Stake and concluded that it was the worst experience of my life. Dodge her if you can. The rest of this review is going to focus on my drs office on the other side of the hall. I have been a patient here for about a decade now. My Dr. here found me in the ER and in a way she adopted me. As time has gone on the office has changed a lot. I think that covid has had much to do with it. I have been watching a sort of steady degradation happen. When I used to come in people would be for the most part in a pretty good mood. I would walk in and joke with folks and everything would seem ok. But as time has gone on I have noticed a shift in things. People don’t really seem to smile anymore and communication has started to fail. Things used to be very quick and resolved very easily. Now its super slow and not really functional. If I call to make a request like hey can I find out where I was referred to for x issue. I can expect to go to a voicemail box and then not hear anything most of the time unless I follow up. Some of the folks down there have become rude sometimes to me and the one instance my girlfriend walked in to find out more information as she was considering transferring her care there. The biggest change that I have noticed however is in my Dr. herself. As time has gone on I have noticed a shift in her mood towards me and a few friends that used to have her as a Dr as well. Sometimes she’s impatient. Other times if I try to voice my concerns about providers she sends me to I can tell she has no interest in it. Appointments have stagnated I feel. I try to keep her updated on my various issues. It's a lot at times. Appointments are spent looking at a laptop screen. Ultimately I don’t know know what’s causing it. Is it covid? Advancing age? Overwork? Maybe she’s fatigued with my various issues? I don’t know. What I do know is that it's noticeable. I can feel the fatigue there and hear the stress in her voice. I have been chasing my health for a while and I have made some good progress. However I feel like its just not being taken seriously anymore and it has me feeling like I don’t even know if I want to continue chasing it anymore. Everyone I know has already left this clinic for care elsewhere. I don’t know if I want to stay here when appointments don’t feel like a space to voice my concerns and when getting basic things done becomes a multi month, multi phone call process. Not everything needs to be an appointment guys. It makes no sense to say that I need to make an appointment to have a prescription sent over when there are others that need care too. They can’t get care if I’m living in the office. The clinic leaves me feeling rather mixed. I look forward to the day that I can have room to inhale in my own appointments, when i feel like i can go and chase goals again. I really miss how things used to be."
"The receptionists have a bad attitude towards people they don't seem to know. I will make the trip to Tucson in the future to avoid allowing this facility to earn even one more dollar at the expense of my health."
"Don't get caught waiting while white. If you are Hispanic, they will add you to the queue as the did for the people both before and after me. If you aren't, then they tell you to come back when they are less busy. Worst medical facility and staff I have ever had the displeasure of meeting."
"This rating is for *Brenda* in admitting (I think). Thank you for taking the time to reach out to me and let me know the orders "finally" came in. Your professionalism, care and kindness is exceptional❤️"
"I had a fantastic experience here. I (41 yr old f) was working from out of town here at the Douglas fairgrounds when I had a medical emergency. The ambulance had to be called. I was really nervous, but everyone from my EMTs, to my nurse, to Dr. Yow were fantastic. At first, I was alone since my family was in Tucson—but they made me comfortable, treated me with kindness & promptness, and honestly I would consider this one of the better ER experiences of my life. I am so thankful that these kind professionals were there for me when emergency struck in an unfamiliar place. Thank you!"
