"I have been calling this Walgreens every other day if not every day for 2+ weeks trying to get a compound prescription for my child. They told me multiple times it was READY and that it just needed “pharmacist verification” and that they would call me back that evening. I called yet again and they told me my doctor did not send in what they needed to fill it and that they would call the next work day to have them resend it. Had they said that WEEKS ago I would have called my doctor MYSELF to have them resend the prescription. Also goes to show that they LIE to save face. Absolutely unacceptable and completely unethical."
"I'm dropping my 3-star rating down to a one, and I would put it in the negative if I could. I liked this Walgreens, but I cannot excuse the gross, arguably illegal behavior of one of their security staff, or the failure of corporate to address the issue when I called their line. A few weeks ago, I went to this Walgreens in the evening to make a few purchases, and when I came outside there was a man sitting in a wheelchair having some troubles. He had had a stroke, he told me, and his wheelchair was broken. I let him use my phone to make a call, then tried to see if I could repair his wheelchair a bit. I had a bike trailer and a backpack with me. Security came outside and told me that I couldn't have my bike trailer up by my store — then said that the man couldn't have his things up there either, and the only things he had was his wheelchair. They told a disabled man who had a stroke that he couldn't have his wheelchair at the store. That's illegal. And it's disgusting. I called corporate, and they acted very concerned, and said they would get back to me next week. It has now been 2 weeks, and I haven't heard from them. Therefore, I think it's time for the public to know about how to store treats disabled people. I only wish the disabled man had had someone to advocate for him, as he could have probably sued this store for everything it's worth. As for me, I don't plan to come back."
"To Alexander (pharmacy operations manager) and pharmacists (Rae and Sandra)…The three of you exemplify what good customer service and what Walgreens stands for is all about…Alexander thank you for taking the time to explain to me the process that is sometimes required for obtaining newer medications. Rae, you went FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND in helping me so I did not run out of a crucial medication. Sandra, your courtesy and professionalism as we BITH learn about this new medication I’m taking is far beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I am newly diagnosed as a type2 diabetic (within the last 4 months) and while I’ve been fortunate that I do have excellent insurance….the process to obtain the newest medication and treatments on the market has been frustrating to say the least. However the 3 employees whom I’ve mentioned above have been absolutely incredible. I will say this….ask questions about your medications that you are taking or need to get filled. As I have learned….the overwhelming majority of the issues with getting prescriptions filled are not with Walgreens but rather with the physicians who DO NOT take the extra step of filling out pre authorization forms and submitting to insurance so that when you do go to pick up your prescriptions there aren’t any issues."
"I understand the policy of having people with back packs or big bags leave them by the registers, because I know this area deals with a lot of theft… but the way the security handled telling myself and another guy to leave our bags was so abrupt and accusatory right off the bat. The other man refused and left. Then the guard asked if that guy was my boyfriend? Just a strange thing to ask someone, which I felt clearly we didn’t look like we were together (the man was much older than me, we just happened to walk in simultaneously). Also, my sling bag is not big it just goes on my back but I use it as my purse with my money and cards inside. A woman in line had a much bigger bag that went around her shoulder… so it was weird that my bag would be seen as more suspicious than a giant purse. I asked to put it behind the counter in fear it would be stolen if I left it next to the door where the security guard instructed me to put it. He told me “no” and to place it on a stool next to the exit. I took my valuables out of it because someone could definitely just grab my bag on the way out and that security guard would not have been able to respond whether he was actively watching my bag or not. He said “I won’t touch your stuff” or something along those lines… I was just thinking ‘I’m not worried about you touching my stuff, but this is Albuquerque and I worry about someone else swiping my valuables in a second.’ Anyway, I really didn’t want to go to this Walgreens but had to because the one on 12th street was closed due to a power outage. I’m going to continue to avoid this location due to the sketchy area and the rude security. They just need better training in customer service. Don’t treat your customers like criminals and offer to keep their valuables behind the counter if you need to ask them to keep bigger bags up front while they shop."
"This place is pretty sketchy. The workers don't seem to care and move at a snail's pace. Last time I was there a guy walked straight out the door with two handfuls of stolen products. The cashiers just laughed. #pokegym"
