"I want to love this place, but there were some problems. I've had a haircut, a manicure and a pedicure by the same stylist who was very nice and skilled. My biggest concern is the cleanliness, or lack thereof, around the whole place. There were huge piles of hair that I had to walk through to get to the chair. Even after I commented on it, nothing was swept up. The manicure tools are kept in a glass of disinfectant, but it had stuff floating in it and was murky (I did get a bacterial infection in one of my nails). There didn't seem to be any actions taken to disinfect the pedicure bowl before or after my feet were in it. The files used were not clean and had someone else's 'skin dust' on them. ( I probably should have backed out of the whole appointment when I saw this but didn't, which is on me). Paint is peeling, baseboards missing, puddles of water leaking from the roof. I wish the owner would do more to spruce up this place and enforce basic hygiene practices because I want to support this local business and the stylists who work there, but I don't feel safe going back. :-( P.S. I tried to email this to the owner rather than post publicly, but there seems to be no way to send a message unless you're logged in and I wanted to remain anonymous."

"The 'salon' was dirty, dark and gloomy looking. The chair I was supposed to sit on had hair all over it as well as all around the floor of the chair. Not a very good first impression of a 'salon' for a new client. I asked the young hair dresser I was assigned to how long she's been doing hair colors and cuts and she stated 8 months; therefore, I left before my hair could be ruined. Walmart's hair salon is cleaner and the staff is friendlier than Revive. This is why I gave Revive a 1 star review."
