"It was very quiet the afternoon we visited (Nov) but an incredible display. Well worth a few hours to appreciate uranium mining and the people who made it successful."
"Goodness! A must stop and see. Well done museum of local mining and history. I was not sure, but as soon as we did the mine tour, I was so glad we did. Informative and worth a visit."
"I am a mining engineer by training and worked for mining industry all my life. I can say this place is well done and some one put their heart into it. It is very informative and well suited for either one with mining experience and the one without any mining exposure. If you pass by the town, you definitely want to visit this place and will never regret. They only charge a very small fee and offers discount for seniors and children."
"Cute little museum, they have a small little shop with a few nick nacks for purchase. This place is very cheap, I went with 1 other adult and 2 kids and paid 11 bucks to see it. They do hands a military and veteran discount. You can look around and then they have an elevator that takes you down to their "mine" it's very cool. I've been to actual mines and so did my girlfriend who actually used to work in one and she said it brought back memories of working down there. I think they need to turn down some of their information buttons down there because we jumped at some of them lol"
"Did you know that from Grant to Gallup, that a tract of land was mined for many years for uranium? Did you also know that for many years New Mexico was the leader in uranium extraction in the nation? Come to this wonderful museum that has archives and movies from Acoma, Laguna, and other key areas which produced this radioactive product. Not only does the museum walk you through the unique New Mexican history but also has recreated a mining operation underground with authentic equipment used during the period with interactive voice overs which provide the required oral history."
