Reviews of LA GUELAGUETZA MEXICAN RESTAURANT LLC
"I loved it here. The quality of the meat is super high. Just right in every way. The man at the counter was extremely helpful and asked if we had been there before and walked us through the menu. Really pure. The fries were the kind you get at Mexican restaurants, pale but complimentary to the food."
"Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we ordered based on recommendations from the server of Quesabirria Tacos and Chicken Enchilada with Black Mole. Quesabirria tacos were tortilla with melted cheese and birria-style (meat-stew) beef folded in with a side of savory beef broth for dipping. Absolutely delicious, quite a quick, and much heavier than it looked. The lime is needed to cut through the heaviness. The enchilada was good but the mole was quite interesting! It tasted very earthy and smoky with a sweet aftertaste. Service: 4/5 - slight language barrier but very friendly! If you don't read Spanish, the English menu is quite lacking with no pictures or prices and the items available area slightly different as well. Ambiance: 5/5 - the outside was a little bit scary but inside is clean overall even though it seems like a much older building and establishment. There's colorful decorations on the ceilings and walls and festive music playing. Value for price: 4/5 - we didn't see the quesabirria tacos on the menu and was a bit surprised by the $15 cost but it was delicious!"
"Came here with some friends to pick up a few pizzabirras while visiting Albuquerque and it was hands down the BEST ever. It was so heavy from the amount of meat in it and super delicious. We loved it. The service was great and the guy at the front was super friendly. I don’t know if they speak English because I did my order in Spanish and spoke Spanish when I got there to pick up my food, but do t let that discourage you! It is sooooo worth it! 10/10"
"My friend and I picked this off a recommended list and I'm so glad we did! Excellent kind service, clean and cheerful place, and the was delicious. I had the chicken quesadilla and had to take half of it home, it was so big and full of juicy meat. My friend got the Mistec plate. I tried a bite of the chicken and beef of his and they were both very very flavorful. he likes things spicy, so he really liked the green sauce. He said the red wasn't hot, but I didn't risk it, LOL. We will definitely go back. The food is basic, but generous, flavorful, and heartwarming. Like if Abuela made it for you. Oh, and instead of the typical chips and salsa before hand, he gave us a basket of these homemade potato chips that were so thin and light as a feather, but so addictive! Good thing there weren't more. :)"
"This place has amazing Mexican food, and apparently the rest of Albuquerque knows it already. For a small restaurant with maybe 14 tables this place was packed. And at one point during our dinner tonight there were 10 people in line waiting for takeout food. The mole sauce here is excellent. Smoky and very flavorful. Fajitas were a little dried out, but still good."
