Reviews of Murray Ryan Visitor Center
"We visited on 6/24, 6/25, and 6/26/23 and each time there was a different person, all equally good. They were friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Good job, Silver City!"
"Worth stopping in to get the local deets; but if it’s closed temporarily based on a one person show; and you’re desperate for a restroom - then go over the foot bridge on the right for the city restrooms. The Visitors Ctr was closed when we arrived so we walked around & found the replica of Billy the Kid’s childhood log cabin, Silver City Main Street & Little Toad Brewery. We returned to the Visitor’s Ctr. parking lot & we’re able to enter at that time. It was worth the wait; the person at the desk is local & knows the great trails & things to do if you have only a few hours or a few days to explore Silver City, the Continental Divide hike & the beautiful, Gila Mtn area."
"Due to Covid the small shops were closed BUT the overall atmosphere was very nice. They even had a reproduction of an 1870 log cabin donated by Ron Howard (producer and star) that was used in a movie. It was on the site of the original cabin that Billy the Kid lived with his mom and brothers. Walk the downtown and feel the history."
"It's not for everyone but I love Silver City!"
"Really pretty lil town it would have been nice that on the weekends everything was open or had more displays for people to see they had a nice Museum"
