Reviews of Haynes Outdoor Pool
"How disappointing to find out that this almost season the lifeguards at the Haynes swimming pool have been keeping the basketball hoop in the storage just because they are too lazy to take it out. Lifeguards at the Haynes swimming pools have been telling the people that the basketball hoop is broken. Well, today they had a private event at the pool and guess what was not broken today “yes” the basketball hoop."
"Haynes Park continues to be one of the more popular parks in Rio Rancho. It includes an outdoor pool and sitting area that is fenced in within the park. There are some tables and chairs with umbrellas for shades, but not nearly enough of them. The pool area also includes some trees that provide some of the shading. The entry fees are very reasonable and the pool is normally open from around noon till six in the evening. No food is sold on the premises other than a few snack items. The pool also has quite a few lifeguards on duty, which is always a plus. The only thing the smaller kids complain about is that they're not allowed to wear life vests or any kind of floaties in the pool. People are also allowed to bring in their own shade structures, tables, and chairs."
"My Aunt had a awful experience last visit she came to the pool with her multiple kids including a special needs kid and a 20 month old. Her 20 month old was hungry so she went to breastfeed. She was in the corner of shallow end, the water was leveled at the middle of her stomach and she was mostly facing the wall. She was feeding for only two to three minutes before a lifeguard came over and asked her "Can you go like do that somewhere else."; Making a shewing motion with her hand. After my Aunt addressed the manager who told her "It's against the law." That "She was exposing herself." ( One breast was out and the baby was feeding.) And that she "Needed to be more modest." It is New Mexicos law that woman can breastfeed where ever and when ever she pleases. Or how about when a baby is HUNGRY. Because believe it or not we can't control that. She was watching 6 kids! This is just infuriating that she was treated this way for feeding and watching her kids. The water was at her mid stomach. I couldn't believe the way she was treated and I'm very upset and hope no other mother has to deal with this level of disrespect and are told that they are " Breaking the law and exposing there self to children." She was feeding her child."
"Nice outdoor pool. Not that big and geared towards new swimmers as it only 5 foot deep max. Large shallower area for younger children. Has two laps lane but they are typically overrun with kids as the guards dont enforce anything in that regards. Would recommend to anyone."
