"The restaurant was welcoming and cozy. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 with no problem. SERVICE: We did a lot of waiting. First for our order to be taken, then again for beverages to arrive and once more for the food to come out. Then we waited for refills...lot of waiting. FOOD: The food, however, was the saving grace, once everyone was served, that is. The first plates came out and those people started eating. It took awhile before everyone elses plates came out. The ones that started eating probably got half way thru their food before everyone else got served. Again, food was GREAT, but service is in need of help! I saw that 2 other tables that came in after us were eating and drinking well before we were. And the server was over with them more often, checking in on them. Once we got the check, it all made sense. It seems that because we were a party over 6 people, they automatically add gratuity. HENCE the lack of service and attention because she already knew she was gonna make that $$ anyway!"
"A convenient restaurant inside our hotel and we were very pleased with the food for both lunch and breakfast. Music is nostalgic from the same era as the pictures on the walls throughout the hotel. You can also find some historic Indian blankets on the walls. I'm in love with the New Mexico green chile and made the huevos rancheros stand out. The side of fruit for breakfast was delicious, it had grapefruit. Not on the menu, but they serve hot chocolate in the winter season!"
"We are currently staying in the hotel, El Rancho on Route66. Service was super slow, getting a table took us about 45 mins, then to order was almost as long. They are really slow at turning tables over, and no real dedicated hostess. Just servers would stop in and take a name or so it seamed. Food was just ok. I got a COB salad and tasted bland, no chicken , just ham and hardly any blue cheese chunks on it sadly. However Drinks were really good... my fiance got Dukes old fashion. And I got a cocktail, can't remember the name. Lol."
"Recommend we stay here from a well seasoned traveler friend. Did not disappoint. Room is classic and quaint while being clean and spotless. Margaritas hit the spot after a long days hiking."
