Reviews of Red Roof Inn Albuquerque - Midtown
"This is one of the nicest red roof inns I’ve ever been to. They accommodated our weird travel schedule & it was a clean place. Yes there are homeless people around outside but never felt in danger even walking to the gas station for snacks. U-Haul was safe overnight in their parking lot"
"If I could give a 0 I would. The rooms are in desperate need of Cleaning and Maintenance. The doors do not shut properly, and they appear to have been kicked in. The walls and floor are absolutely disgusting, splatters of a sticky substance everywhere. We found long black hair in the bed. The bathroom was dirty, the bathtub was stained and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The window was being held closed with a stick and a curtain rod. Now onto the property itself, this motel is in a very bad area. Homeless people wandering through the hallways and camping in the stairwells , hanging out in the parking lot near customer vehicles. This place is NOT Recommended!!!"
"If you're looking for a place to stay for just one night because of a road trip, this is the place especially on a budget. The breakfast was mid the only good thing was the waffle machine, the waffles were yummy. One thing I absolutely would recommend if you stay here is that you bring yourself $100 in cash for the deposit so then it will be returned to you right away after your stay. The rooms were okay not the best you ever see but they were clean enough, the floor could use some more cleaning though. The rooms are definitely outdated and there are tiny holes on walls ect. One thing tho the beds are horrible, they were so uncomfortable and the pillows were just flat AF. I would recommend bringing your own pillow and blankets and probably a bed sheet so you don't have to sleep on the bed itself. Another thing I would recommend so you get your full deposit back is that immediately after you get your room inspect the room for any damage and take a picture and report it to the lady in the front, she puts it in the notes so you don't get charged for those damages. The staff are really nice though that's the best thing, after I reported the damages to the staff she asked me if I wanted to change my room if I was uncomfortable there, I said no but it was a great offer. The area is okay, there are homeless people around but I never found them hanging around the hotel just outside the fence. One thing, if you are on a budget stay here, if you're not just stay at the quinta hotel behind this one it's probably cleaner and safer. Also people talking about the pool being closed, it is because it's cold outside what do you think you're gonna swim in 40 degree weather? They will probably open it during the summer."
"During our stay it was ok, room was clean but the door lacked seal so cold air was coming in easily. When I went to shower I wasn’t informed to allow water to run for 30 min to warm up so after a few minutes I decided it wasn’t getting warm and took cold shower, when I confronted the issue after they went up and allowed it to run the room had hot water. You should believe your guests especially if you want them to rerun. I will not! Be more informative or understand the guest experience!"
"First of all make sure you inspect your room before you check in because there was a hole in the wall that was there that we didn't notice until they said there was a hole in the wall when we were checking out and they took $50 off of our damage deposit. Second of all, they were homeless people sleeping in the elevator. With syringes strewn everywhere inside the elevator and that was two nights in a row. Third of all, there was no hot water for three days straight. I had to take a cold shower to go to work The first day I was there. On the third day there is warm water to take a shower but the next day after that it was cold again. The fourth day was cold again another cold shower. The fifth day it was finally hot. The rest of the nine days I stayed, it was cold. I feel we were set up for the hole in the wall just so they can take our money. Don't stay here it's not worth it's. It's too expensive, it should be as cheap as the ones on central. And there's no smoking rooms, not even smoke outside of your room or in the stairwell or in front of the building all around the whole place there's a designated smoking area. Lots of homeless people around and the parking lot seems really creepy. I was worried that some of my steal my catalytic converter. The only thing good here was the free breakfast."
