"I booked thru Hotwire and didn’t know what hotel I was getting until after booking. I quickly googled Marriott Pyramid and was nervous when I read the reviews - they had some negative feedback. We showed up after a 9 hour drive and arrived at an oasis, the lobby was gorgeous. We were welcomed by Anthony at the front desk - he was very personable. We had a nice interaction with the bartender who made a great old fashioned. Our room was a little outdated but it was extremely clean. Overall, it was a great stay for us."
"Check in was a headache. Here for work. They pay for my room and upon check in they said it wasn’t paid, as if I had an extra $1000 laying around to cover the cost. Had to email my boss the paperwork they were requesting (although it was submitted previously.) At night roughly 11pm the bar/restaurant is extremely loud and it being in the middle and the rooms surround it the sound resonates and you could hear it from my fifth floor room. The gym is decent but has no mirror so you can work out correctly and see your form while using the machines. The rooms are dated and carpet. Didn’t see any of the housekeeping vacuuming the rooms. I stayed 7 nights. Frequently used towels were left in the room and sink was not cleaned. After the first night I had to call the front desk due to housekeeping not closing my door properly after requesting them to come clean my room and room was essentially open. I only had to push the door and was in. Not safe at all. Below pics of the dirty sink not being cleaned after housekeeping came and used towel not picked up. Oh and many of the channels don’t work. Don’t recommend. Last time I stayed was a little bit better. The poor people at the front desk are short staffed and guests are rude to them. Please hire more people to help them out.Update : it gets worse . They have now begun to vacuum the hotel at 11 at night on a Thursday when some of us have work to tend to at 8am . Ridiculous"
"This place does not live up to Marriott. First, we stayed in Albuquerque in winter and nights get chilly. When the heat did not work we called to the front desk and they asked if I really wanted heat. Uh, yes. They had to send maintenance to turn off the air conditioning and turn on heat. We were late to dinner waiting for them. When we got back the toilet overflowed. Called for help and a plunger was brought; did it myself. My wife wanted a different room but I just talked her into sleeping and getting the heck out. The entrance is clean and nice, the rooms are old. I stayed her in the 90's and the current condition matches this. Parking is 10.00 extra. Really? The 159.00 room should have covered parking. No security at night so why the charge? We will not be back. My HS reunion is coming up and I will not suggest this place for our celebration. Lost a little trust in Marriott because of this place....."
"Room was freezing cold- even set at 80. Older hotel with stained carpets and furniture. Mark in the restaurant was fantastic. And the food is good- if you can get it. However- the rest of the staff, including the Food and Beverage Manager need more training. Second day- room service took 45minutes(not 15 as promised )and no silverware or condiments. Was late for my conference- so didn't get a chance to eat. Went back for lunch and it took over 50 minutes for my sandwich- had to go back to the conference without eating. There were not many people in the restaurant. Went back for dinner ( only 1 restaurant), waited 15 minutes-no drink or menu. Went to the front desk to speak to a manager and was told I had to tell them the issue before speaking to a manager. Long story short- they took a room service order for me and no manager ever contacted me! So much for hospitality."
"Rooms are dated but still adequate. Service is great as is the location for easy access to highways. The central fountain was turned off on this most recent visit which made it easier to notice the noise of other guest and did subtract from the ambience. Charging for parking in a mostly empty lot is excessive. Overall a good experience and would stay here again."
