Sunset Villas Apartments

"I've lived here for about 3 years. Finally much needed new management but also some big rent hike ups. Maintenance requests are often ignored. Parking is rough. Cheap constructed apartments. I've had doors, appliances, drawers, and just about anything you can think of fall apart and break after about a year. The price "was" cheaper than most which made sense but now with rent being raised $400 not worth it in my opinion."

"Absolutely grotesque is my experience. They refuse to clean. From the dog feces outside to the absolute filth that is the inside. Bug infested, roaches, ants, flies, you name it. The new management is arguably the worst I’ve seen. They have deplorable business ethics and actually attempted to take advantage of my 78 year old Grandmother. Unfortunately they did, raised our rent by about $350-400. Unexplainable fees, zero maintenance, horrible people in general. You can’t get ahold of them and they directly discriminate against older people. I’m 30, I’ve seen it first hand. We also have rent set up automatically every month. They put an eviction notice on our door without even looking if the rent was paid. That’s the quality of people you are dealing with here. Neanderthals have more intelligence. They were ready to evict us with rent full paid because it’s automatic every month like clockwork. So publically embarrassing us and insulting our character with an eviction notice, while it was already fully paid. They don’t even look! Insane! Low quality individual’s. This is in a great area, but these apartments are disgusting. The management wants to soak you for every cent they can while doing as little as they can. They simply DO NOT CARE. They actually called my Grandma poor and insinuated she look for something cheaper. Not knowing I work full time, my mother who is a charge nurse helps her and my uncle who is extremely successful helps her. We have more than enough money if we needed. But, they literally called my sweet Grandma poor. When they don’t clean anything, are total slobs, rude, no ethics and terrible business practices. They refuse to maintain their own property. They simply are bad people. There’s no way around it. Beautiful location but do yourself a favor, don’t rent here. These people have a track record of screwing individuals over and bad ethics. Just go on Reddit and look. Don’t rent here, for real. Tons of law cases and them suing or being sued."

"Currently living here and at this point I have nothing good to say. Before winter came when we were still getting rain it leaked through my utility room. Mold built up on the ceiling of the utility room, the closet in the bathroom and now extending to the bedroom. I was told that it was fixed and then a week later it was leaking again. They went through a manager change and the individual that said he was taking over brought mold killing spray and a big fan the first time. After that it went quiet and I haven’t heard from him or ANYONE since. The mold is now increasingly growing with no response at all from management, or the maintenance request. Last winter my furnace went out and a gentle came and fixed it that same night. It has now gone out TWICE this winter and it has taken 2 days each time for someone to come do something about it as If I have anywhere else to stay. The second time I saw the maintenance guy on my camera. He walked in and saw that it had started working again and walked out. Didn’t take the time to actually go through it and see what’s wrong with it since it keeps going out. I have called the apartment number countless time at all times of the day and no one ever answers and I have left countless voicemails that no one ever gets back to me on. Ever. The only reason I gave it one star was because zero isn’t an option. Hopefully leaving this will get someone to finally get in contact with me."
