Reviews of Anytime Auto Repair
"This place is a joke. They took 2.5 weeks over the 2 days that they estimated. Then they decided to allow their cat to be in the vehicle and left cat hair and paw prints all over the car. I’m severely allergic. Do not go here."
"Our truck is repaired, thankfully. So far, so good. Doing business was not without issues. WHAT TO KNOW: Communication is poor. They make promises they don’t keep. Time management is poor. They want full payment upfront. Overall, our truck spent 1.5 months in their shop 1.5 weeks for a transmission solenoid, & then, over a month when that failed for diagnostics & transmission replacement. They were paid >$9000 upfront for work & the order of the transmission because they “don’t have any credit to order parts that expensive.” We signed a legal contract with them to cover us (if we had ti take it to court.) Communication was always poor, except for when they called to brag that the job would be done earlier than expected. It was NOT! The due date came & went. The day after, they let me know they hadn’t even STARTED working on it, & we were met with no apologies, just excuses. They had to hustle to get it done a few days later. We have the truck back now, thankfully, & only time will tell if they did a decent job, I guess. We have a 100,000mi/ 3yr warranty on the transmission, but they wouldn’t give us tue paperwork for it (sketchy), & said we’d have to come back to them with future issues, if they occur. (Will have to look more into that.) I’m not sure I’d want to go through all this with them again."
"Repair: Originally the Fuel Pump Transmission Repair: Blown Pan Gasket after receiving the go ahead when they found there was massive leak coming from it. Surprise Fix: Brand new battery due to technician leaving the keys on? The Morning after taking it home it was dead only to find out the battery terminal was loose. Could've been avoided by not killing my battery. They did however replace it with a decent one. I also texted him twice, once a week on the day I dropped it off. Shot another text again the day after if he didn't respond, which was both times. I called maybe 2 or 3 times and only one time did they answer, and it was the front desk lady, who was very kind all throughout this, who told me "He's fishing for some wires". Ok I guess. I showed up to the shop Saturday (2 weeks and 2 days after the initial drop off) due to not receiving any texts and the phone going to voicemail Friday, the day before. Kit stated that he was infact test driving it and it will be ready by day's end. Picked it up same day, I had to ask if there was anything noteworthy about the repairs made. She stated that they put in a new battery after their technician left the key turned in it. News to me. They would've never told me if I didn't ask because they certainly weren't keeping up with communication during the time they had it. Drove around same day and it was good. Morning after I was leaving to get some groceries, I was dead in the water. Positive battery terminal was loose as discovered upon opening the hood. Fixed that, and procceded to go on about my day. On my way returning from the grocery store, the overdrive on my transmission was slipping out and going back to third. The closer I got to home, the more extreme the slipping of the gears became. Once I arrived home, I checked the Transmission fluid as per the user's manual. Switching through all the gears from neutral all the way drive. Had somebody sit in the driver seat and put in Drive while I checked. Behold, it was bone dry. Ran to the nearest auto store using somebody else's vehicle. Bought ATF, came back and filled it until it was full using the same method's. Drove it around and it switched into the gears firmly with no slippage, and has been doing so since I filled it myself. Went to the shop, brought the invoice and my receipt from the Auto store, in hopes they would make it right by at least reimbursing me the ATF fluid they charged me, considering there was none, and for the ATF that I paid for to fill it in myself. When I brought up my grievances to Kit, she stated "Must'a been Austin" Implying that this is a common occurrence for Austin. Austin comes out and relinquishes to me that he infact did put fluid. Cameras were checked by Matt, who had still not said a word to me even when he was in person now, and confirming he did infact put fluid. Austin returned to me and informed me that I will not be receiving refunds for what I asked for, even after stating himself that these transmissions take 12. I received no explanation and was only told "Maybe there was another leak" by Austin and that if I wanted a refund or action taken, I should've called or brought it in the day of. I have a livelihood to maintain and I cannot simply drop it in when I have a full time position that needs me there. I had time today only due to a cancellation of a client's appointment. To sum it up. Pricing was fair, Kit was very nice and friendly, they most certainly fixed the fuel pump issue, and the transmission shifts great after I gave it a proper look over that they did not. Camera's prove Austin put fluid in, they did not however check fluids properly before handing it off back to me. Locally owned and operated means nothing to me when I receive this big of a headache after giving them my hard earned money. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend them. Any rebuttal is welcome by the owner or any representative of Anytime Auto Repair."
"The folks at Anytime Auto were able to get me back on the road to continue my 3200 mile round trip from MN to AZ and back to MN. They were open with me about my trucks issues, and got me fixed up and down the road the same day. (Thankfully) If I'm ever stranded in Rio Rancho again, they will be my go to. Thanks!"
"My 4runner's lower ball join left me stranded, Andrew came through and helped me so much! He helped hook me up with somone to fix it at a good price! I was back on the road within a week! The break was catastrophic and my 4runner is my life line. I was able to make it back to work withought a hitch. The whole crew was amazing. 10/10 would call again!"
