"I was in a car accident in Oct 2016 and had to have plates and screws put in. Dr. Margaret Carmody did the surgery. Horrible bedside manners and manners in general. At my 4 week check up she didnt even come into the room her assistant did. I asked about PT and was told to follow up with my primary doctor. I advised I was still in alot of pain and having trouble walking and even moving. I was advised to follow up with my primary care doctor. I have been saying the same thing for the last 3 years. I finally convinced my Primary doctor to do MRI. The results were the surgery was a complete fail. I had 2 plates and 6 screws. One screw is broke in half and two more are loose. I have been assured this just doesnt happen. I would have to have a large trauma to cause these results."

"Clinic staff is excellent. The whole team was friendly and efficient! As for my experience with the medical staff, all I can say is ..WOW!! first there's Tiffany, the nurse who was at my pre-surgery appointments and especially attentive and super quick call-backs post-surgery. I must have talked to her 10 times on the phone and got my scripts to pharmacy directly after the call. Then there's Nellie the NP who is doing my post-surgery followups. She's great to talk with and addresses all my questions and concerns. Nicole, the other NP who assisted in the surgery and did my hospital followup was awesome as well! And finally, Dr. Carmody... What can I say, she is a rockstar when it comes to her craft. I can't say enough about her. The pain i had from the pinched nerves are gone. I had to travel 3 hours for the appointments and since i had another visit scheduled with another Dr. in Sioux Falls, Dr. Carmody came in on her day off just to see me!! She spent about an hour with me going over my options. I see there was a comment about Dr. Wolak on here. i also had the unfortunate opportunity to see him as well.. i agree with the other review as to his attitude. The good news is that he has "moved on" to another hospital..."

"The receptionist were great and I got in and out. The problem was with Dr. Wolak himself. As a past employee for Avera, my disappointment was high. Dr.Wolak was more concerned about flirting with his intern than doing his job. His bedside manner was terrible. My father came into the room with me and wouldn't have believed it if he wasn't there!"
