"I have been with Sanford rheumatology for four years. In that time I have had three doctors. Most recently I was assigned to Dr. Afzal. I saw him yesterday and will not return to Sanford Rheumatology. I’m done. This doctor informed me that our visit would be brief and he would be asking the questions. When I tried to elaborate he shushed me like a child. He informed me he would not consider the diagnosis in my chart and would be ordering his own diagnostic images and tests, this after asking me to stop taking my RA meds. He reminded me repeatedly that he is a scientist and would be diagnosing me in the way he sees fit. He told me that if I don’t like that I was free to seek another opinion. I told him my chart was filled with the opinions of fine doctors who had no disagreement with my diagnosis. I’m now looking for another clinic."
"I was not happy with my appointment. Beautiful facility and great nursing staff. My previous labs, from my former DR who retired, were totally dismissed. These labs came from Mayo. The DR I saw never fully examined me, was dismissive of me I will not return."
