"The 2 young men working the counter this evening were exceptional. James and Tavin I believe it was. They are an asset to Meadwood lanes. Thank you again gentlemen. 3/29/30"
"Great bowling ally on the Westside! We really enjoy it due to the location and the number of league options they have available. Everything from doubles, 3 man teams, mixed, and more! The staff are wonderful and I thought really hard about giving it a five star! My only complaint, however, is the equipment is a little on the older side and has some issues. Almost every week some problem arises with the lanes, though its usually only something minor. Thing like pins not begin sensed (nothing worse that the screen telling you you got a strike but know you actually still have one pin standing) or lanes turning off and having to alert staff to turn them back on. All in all, very minor complaints, but enough that I'm giving it a four. Honestly though, a great location if you are looking to bowl :D."
"It was a meh experience the lanes were well maintained but there was zero oil on them. So you're using a house or plastic ball. There was only a few lanes with bumpers there. they are the first to get taken. The pro shop was closed but the prices looked good if you were going to buy a ball and have them drill it. Their hours are pretty bad It seems they only open when there's a league going on. So if you want to go bowling hopefully they're open."
"Great bowling alley, fun during the day. During the extreme bowling, they turn the music up WAY too loud. It is so loud you can't hear the people on your lane talking to you at all. Asked the staff if they could either move us to a quieter lane or turn it down, and they said they couldn't move us, but they could turn down the music "a bit" and they turned it from 100% to 99% volume. Come for the open bowling, not the extreme bowling. Owner, please respond to this with a reason the music has to be ear piercingly loud."
"Meadowood Lanes is one of two bowling alleys in Rapid City, SD. At first from the outside you wouldn't think much of this place. The outside aesthetic is a bit outdated looking. Once you go inside however, that all changes. There are 36 Lanes looking at you! The staff is really good here. They are really customer oriented and are knowledgeable. The lanes have been updated with new machines that display nice graphics, along with the lanes being taken care of with proper oiling and such. The bar is a nice quiet place to go into if you want a drink, and to watch any sport games they may have on. I have been bowling at this bowling alley for 20 years. Once you start a league and get to know people, that is when Meadowood Lanes really shines! You will feel apart of something, a belonging, a warm welcome and for that this place almost got 5 stars. The only real down point is the outside look of the bowling, and sometimes the food isn't always the greatest. Other than that this is a great place to scratch your bowling itch!"
