"They came and met me at the time that was right for me. I would highly recommend. They do great work"
"We were having issues with our truck not building air pressure. One call to Freedom Field Repair and Karl was there very quickly, and diagnosed our problem within minutes. Got us back on the road in no time!!! We will definitely use Freedom Field Repair again in the future."
"I own a mobile mechanic business as well, and let me tell you this guy is phenomenal. When I need something asap he never hesitates. Very punctual and ready to get trucks up and running. Any time I get a call for a OTR truck I will be recommending them to him for now on! The best in the area hands down!"
"The problem was that my secondary air tank didn’t have any airflow on the right side only pumping in to the airbags on the tractor. Due to the cool temperatures driving from Washington state to our destination. We have/had a load that have to be delivered by Monday no later than Tuesday. Still having 19 hours/ 1200 miles to drive. (Some of our lines froze up) I called all of mechanics that was open around rapid city, SD there was only three that was available. To work on Sunday. Some was overwhelmed with work due to the weather. I called him three times on Sunday morning. The first time I called explained what was going on with our truck he said he had just got back what I was saying what was wrong did not make sense or he didn’t understand me. I explained again the problem was that my secondary air tank was not pumping airflow He said I will charge you $230.00 an hour with three hours minimum. Because it was the weekend. So I said let me call you back. After calling around I called him the 2nd time to come out because nobody else was available at that time. He said to give him a hour. I called the third time to see if he was on his way after hours of waiting. He said he couldn’t get his truck to run and would use his pick up truck. I said no problem. Instead of saying he couldn’t do anything because the part stores was closed he came out and did nothing. Charged for the service and we are still in the same situation. He said he could use heat but didn’t doing the three hours he charged us for. I feel like he took advantage of us and he is a very dishonest person. Because he said you can call me tomorrow and he can fix our truck. Instead of $230 per hour it will be $150 per hour. He knew before he came out that he was not able to fixed our problem and should have said it and not came out. We later discovered that there was some other problem which caused airflow to stop. That he had no idea about. I was very disappointed and don’t recommend his service to anyone traveling throughout SD. After he left I was able to find another mechanic with integrity in the area “Carter Graves” that is honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend him. His business name is “ Black Hills mobile mechanic “"
"Right after the recent blizzard my Dad was trying to move some snow and ended up breaking the bead on his farm tractor tire. I called every tire shop in the area to no avail. They were either closed or they said it would be days until we could get the simple repair done. We needed to get the driveway plowed, as my parents were completely trapped. Almost out of options, I called Karl at Freedom Field Repair and he offered to come and meet me the next morning. Since I had the tire already loaded, I said I could actually meet him, which worked out for both of us. I met him the next morning and he had me fixed up within a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend them for anything in the future, as he went out of his way to ensure that we were up and running again. Thank you!"
