"UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review, I received a call from one of the managing physicians of the practice, Dr. James Hunt. He was able to call me based on my request to cancel my appt (see below). He went on to explain that there have management changes lately at the practice, they have hired more office staff/getting them trained and are working hard to fix the challenges with customer service. If Dr. Hunt's outreach (on a Sunday), his professional manner and acknowledgement of my frustration is any indication of the changes to come, it seems like there will be some significant improvements. I've read so many of the previous posts and it appears that the medical staff are very good. I can attest to the fact that Dr. Scott Harshbarger is great. He worked with me a bit at Sky Ridge, where I was admitted overnight for observation. **I am amending my 1-star to 3 stars, in the hope that there will be changes in the coming days. I very much appreciated the call from Dr. Hunt. ---------------------------------------------------- INITIAL POST: I called this practice 5-6 times since my referral. With each of the 6 calls, I went directly to voice mail. All I was trying to do was to get general information about how far out they were scheduling, confirm that they got the referral, etc. Nearly a month later, I received a call to schedule an appointment. By this time I had started to explore other practices. I asked my PCP for a referral to a different practice that I discovered to have good reviews. Three days after my NEW referral to this other practice, I got a call back, they did an intake over the phone AND... scheduled me for an initial appointment one week later! I was so relieved to actually be talking to staff and to have gotten on their schedule so quickly. I have since tried to call Critical Care & Pulmonary Consultants back 2x to cancel my appointment and have yet to get a call back. I then received a text message yesterday (Sun) asking me to confirm my upcoming appt on Tues. I am not going to take the chance of working with a medical practice where the management cannot allocate some resources towards office staff. I truly am not sure if I will hear back from anyone about my need to cancel my upcoming appointment, for the record, "I need to cancel my appointment for 3/12 at 3pm with Dr. Beans". I am someone who is much more apt to speak to a manager about good/great customer service or write a positive review and I rarely submit negative reviews. AND, I trust that those who are working to return phone calls are doing their absolute best, given what appears to be an ongoing staffing issue of numerous years. I won't entrust my health to a business that won't work to fix the issues."
"Stay far away from this place! Exam room was dirty, Dr yawned through my entire visit, Dr prescribed wrong medications. I have been trying to get a hold of them for over a week and a half to get it straightened out and nobody will call me back. I'm definitely changing providers!"
"Have no problem with Doc's or staff persay but is almost impossible to get someone on the phone when you call. Your on hold for 10-15 minutes & then it tells you to leave a message. I literally called at 8am on the dot and was on hold forever & then told to leave a message. You really need to answer your phones. This is really a shoddy way to run an office."
"My husband's PCP referred him over here for a sleep apnea study. I read the reviews, but saw all the responses from the owners assuring that they were working on their customer service, so I figured we'd try them out. It all falls apart after the first appointment. They answer first thing for new patients. Jacob Beans, NP, was great. Good luck getting anything from the office after. Someone was supposed to call him after to setup mailing the at-home sleep study equipment out. No one has called in two weeks. The referral has no information on who we're even supposed to contact to get this moving. I called the office several times and could not get through. You can't wait on hold until you get someone; you have to leave a voicemail. No response to voicemail. It's unbelievable."
"I’m an insurance & investment broker.. licensed sense 1987. Appointed with United healthcare sense 1990. I was in sky ridge medical center from August 8 th through August 18 th. Critical care billed myself and the insurance company for 11 visits. One, only one AND the guy , GUY said he had nothing to that would work for my BI PAP machine. Zero. The other 10 visits are complete fraud. No one, absolutely no one EVER came to see me. ZERO. If this company is committing fraud against ME , they’re doing it against ALL their customers. I’ve told the Doctor, sky ridge and the insurance company. Oh, I also talked and sent a letter to this company. If you deal with this company, please look at your bill. Very very upsetting to have a company commit fraud so blatantly . Larry L Pranger."
