"I really did not like this office. The front staff are very rude and the I did not have a good experience with the Doctors. I was originally seeing Dr. Cooper, and was good at first. I was being seen for chronic abdominal pain. A few tests were done, but nothing was found. We tried a trial medicine for IBS, and then she put me on Gabapentin for chronic pain. The IBS medicine did nothing, and the Gabepentin had HORRIBLE side affects. Nothing was helping, and I was still have pain and exhaustion (but that was never addressed). I was seen in the hospital in March, and called them to follow up. I was not able to see Dr. Cooper that next day, only later in the week. So I l decided to see the other Doctor...Dr. Reitman. He was the creepiest doctor I have ever dealt with. I explained to him I was in horrible pain, but this pain was different, and in a different location then the pain I was seeing Dr. Cooper for. He insisted on trying to diagnose my "regular" pain rather than the pain I was there for. As soon as he walked in the room, he asked if I was depressed because "I looked like the person on the front of a depression brochure". He then proceeded to give me a depression questioner. He followed that by pressing on my stomach, then told me to turn over, he was going to do a rectal exam. He didn't explain why, and there was no female nurse in the room so I told him no. He then was feeling my stomach again, and lifted my shirt and started pressing on my breast, without telling me, without my consent, and without a female nurse in the room. He continued to insist that I was depressed and was not addressing my issue. He wanted to try and start me on anti-depressants, then He told me to follow back up with Dr. Cooper. Suddenly, even though I had found out all of Dr. Coopers available appointment times early that day, she suddenly did not have anything for two weeks. (The nurse went and talked to her about me, when her times changed). This facility and doctors do not seem like they really care about the patient. They want to put you on pills and send you on your way. As far as Dr. Reitman, he is lucky I don't file a sexual harassment suit against him. He was absolutely creepy, uncomfortable, and SHOULD not be left alone with any patient!!!!!"
"I saw Dr. Leah Cooper and I really like her. However, 2 fax requests sent from my pharmacy and two voicemails sent to Provident Healthcare by self directly and no response from Provident . No call back, just silence. I like Dr. Cooper and I thought I had started a great relationship with a primary care physician, but when they don't call you back it makes all my trust disappear. I need my prescriptions and there seems to be a lack of care, empathy, no responsibility and no communication from the staff. Too bad. I would think maintaining client relationships would be part of running a successful business."
"Mishandling of insurance referrals. I was informed by my neurologists that they failed to send an electronic referral. Now several months later i'm informed that i need to pay cash for a previous service, because they didn't send the electronic referral. I also had to reach out three times to Provident to find out what was going on."
"I have been a patient of this practice for 3+ years. I have been on time for all appointments, and have been asked to wait 10, 15 and even 20 mins past my scheduled appointment time. Today I was a few minutes late due to parking ( which is terrible) but arrived during the 10 min grace period. When checking in a medical assistant came out to the receptionist area and started berating the receptionist asking her why she was allowing me to check in without asking the provider because I was 15mins late. The receptionist tried to calm her by saying she was almost done checking me in. The assistant then turned to me and started to rudely inform me of their late policy. I explained that I was in the office by the 10min grace period and yes it was now 15 mins past but that was because I was in the middle of check in. She started to argue with me and then gave up mid sentence and just walked away. This is a completely unacceptable way to treat patients."
"After having military health care that was not kind of care you want to deal with (Ft. Carson), I decided to find myself a civilian doctor in Denver even though I live in CS. I am extremely happy with my doctor (Dr. Koftan), who is willing to investigate a problem with whatever it takes and not just shrug his shoulders and hopes it will go away. He also listens and goes over options with you. He is very much up to date and open. I highly recommend him."
