Reviews of Colorado Heart & Vascular
"I have been to many medical providers and this practice has been by far the worst experience ever. My first appointment was at 2:30. I was not seen by a doctor until 4:10 pm. I was given no notice that appointments were running behind. The nurses were frustrated and doing their best, but no communication from the front desk at check in or waiting for over 30 minutes in the waiting room. My doctor ordered 3 ultrasounds to be completed. I received the information to schedule them and was informed by Longmont United Hospital that one of the orders was incomplete. They said they sent it back to CHV but hadn’t received a new completed one. They asked if I wanted to wait until the final order came so I could schedule it all together. I called the office on 7 different occasions. 4 of those I left a voicemail with my name, DOB, and phone number and never received a call back. 3 times I spoke to a person and that “they’d leave a note.” But, again, no follow up. After two weeks of both Longmont United and myself calling I ended up scheduling for the two that I had orders for. I was supposed to have a follow up appointment today. Yesterday evening, I received a generic photocopy letter that said they’ve tried to reach me several times but were unsuccessful and that my appointment needed to be reschedule. The letter didn’t even have my name on it and was dated 9/11/23. Of course, by the time we got our mail it was after the office closed. So, I called the office this morning to try and figure out why I’m not receiving any calls. Before I said what I was calling about, I asked to check the number on file for me. They read back my phone number. I asked about when they tried to contact me for this. They said they didn’t know. I was baffled. I worked in a position where I had to call members and prospective members. We had to document our name, when we communicated, how we communicated (phone, text, email, in person), and what the result was (spoke, voicemail, number not in service). They said they couldn’t tell me when I was called or who called me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred. The person on the line said a supervisor doesn’t come in for another hour and a half. They could leave a message to call me back. I explained I was reluctant based on previous experience and would call back during my lunch break. I called 9 times. Every time the person tried to transfer me, the line would be disconnected and I’d have to call the operator again. They tried to call over to the Longmont office and couldn’t get a hold of anyone there. I asked if there was a direct number I could call so I wouldn’t have to keep going through the switch board. I was told there weee no direct lines and if I wanted to speak to someone, they could leave a note on their desk to call me. A few hours later, I received a call back from a nurse, not an office member or patient service coordinator. The FIRST time I’ve ever had a call from CHV. She said that it was logged someone tried to call me on 9/11 at 10:04 am. (1) I called Verizon to obtain my call records (incoming/outgoing) and I literally didn’t receive or make a call on that day. (2) one call doesn’t sound like trying to reach me several times. This is the only health care service with no online patient portal. There is no way to contact people in this service directly. It clearly sounds like nurses are expected to do all the work and they are already over worked/under paid (I’m a teacher, I feel your pain). It’s clear from the reviews even dating back a year ago, this is a theme. What I found ironic is their logo. I would ask your referring doctor for a different practice."
"On my first appointment I spent about 5 minutes with Dr. Payvar regarding blood clots in my calf. He ordered another ultrasound for a month later. Prior to that, the pain and clots began extending up my leg and I called and left a message. No response even though the calltaker said it would be elevated to urgent. The day before the ultrasound, I called and left another message to see if the test needed to be modified to include my upper leg. Calltaker stated it would be marked urgent. No response. Ultrasound tech had serious concerns and asked for a rush interpretation of the results. After the ultrasound, called and left a message asking about test results, and big surprise, no response. Ended up cancelling my follow-up appointment and am changing practices. I can't give 0 stars, but I can warn others that this practice doesn't care about its patients."
"If you have any opportunity or choice in the matter, please take it from me - go ANYWHERE else besides this location. After my experience, I would rather go to my local McDonalds for medical advice and help than these people. 0 accountability, 0 responsibility and clearly they have 0 care for their patients. When I tell them my physician says they need to be the one to read me my results, they say someone will call back - no one ever does. This has happened at least 5 times. I got a heart monitor back in February (it’s now November) and STILL don’t have my results. I have called several times and they always say someone will follow up. No one ever does. I am even polite and patient every time I call, get no follow up in return. What an embarrassment these people are, and they call themselves medical professionals…"
"Conveniently located inside St. Anthony's North hospital, 2nd floor. Receptionist was very friendly, they even request that you leave a google review. Medical assistant was friendly and helpful, took vitals. Doctor showed genuine interest and suggested 3 or 4 procedures as to what directions to go. Ordered blood work which was conveniently located i main lobby."
