"I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Jan 2105. Needless to say, I was terrified. My husband and I went in to meet with Dr. Bergen and the first thing he said to us was how sorry he was that I was sick and that he was going to do everything possible to help me get well. He spent so much time with my husband and I explaining what my treatment plan would look like, the side effects of chemo and other medications I needed. When you're told you have cancer, all you want are answers. For months during my treatment, I had a long list of questions every time I came in to see him. Dr. Bergen always had a long list of answers for me. He always made me feel like I was his only patient and he always had time for me. Knowing Dr. Bergen, I'm sure all of his patients probably feel the same way. I felt special, I felt safe and I felt like my life mattered to him and he would fight for it with me.
