"It was one of the best dining experiences in my life. Just go. You won't regret it at all. Service was incredible with staff who clearly enjoyed their work. Excellent recommendations were made to us. The chef knows what's up. The kind of menu that no matter what you ordered, it was going to be delicious. Fruition is an absolute gem of a dining experience."
"I thought Fruition had a very solid menu that featured some really great dishes. The main attraction to this place was probably the excellent service. The bison carpaccio is probably one of the best, if not the best, carpaccio we’ve had. It had everything: savory without being overtly salty like most carpaccio tended to be, the tenderness let the meat shine, plus a lot of texture from the sun choke chips and fragrance, eaten with that delicious avocado mousse that just made it a perfect bite each time. The crudo/tartare was equally delicious with that whipped tofu and the seaweed chip that complemented the fish so well. The diver scallops were the stars of the night for me: absolutely cooked to perfection topped with caviar and that delicious, creamy, light lobster bisque sauce that elevated it to a whole ‘nother level. I got the cod for my entree. The fish itself was perfectly cooked. It leaned a bit on the bland side with the flavor itself but cod is you know kinda bland to begin with. But again it was the creamy Manila clam chowder underneath that lifted this ordinary fish into a really satisfying bite. Get the profiteroles! They reminded me a lot of the Danish cookies. The meal was excellent so we can’t wait to come back. Also this is the restaurant in which all the unhappy but rich ppl from Capitol Hill come to dine, so you’ll also get to hear (very loudly) about their relationship problems and daily goings on!"
"An amazing dining experience! It was our first time visiting Fruition and certainly won’t be our last! Started off with the Chestnut Agnolotti followed by the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. Drinks were also amazing, enjoyed the Serrano You Didn’t cocktail. Great service and phenomenal food. Loved that the atmosphere felt intimate too. Can’t wait to visit again!"
"First impression: when we arrived on time for our reservation, they said they could not seat us because the previous table was still eating their desserts. I never had this happen at any of the other fine dining establishments I’ve been to. We were delayed by about 10-15 mins. We decided to skip the tasting menu after reading through reviews. Service was about 4.5/5. I ordered the hot tea. It was pretty good. Warns you up. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, and one dessert. -Fried maitake slider 5/5 - after the first bite I was impressed and quickly devoured it. All of the flavor and ingredients came together nicely. -Veal sweetbread scallopini 3/5 - so the meat was tender to cut and it was good. The problem was it was overly salted. It kind of reminds me of the Jewel Osco brand sausage (overabundance of salt that you need to drink water after each bite). -Sweet potato agnolotti 5/5 - highly recommended. No complaints. -Slow cooked duck presse 1/5 - I love duck but this was the only one I could not finish. This was a total miss. Taste wise, is similar to a pate and could be eaten with crackers or bread. By itself, it’s like putting a spoonful of salt in your mouth. This dish should definitely have a piece of bread to go along with it. -Sauteed Barramundi 4.5/5 - sea bass was very flaky. The sauce pairs well with the fish and smoked trout roe. -Lemon meringue pie 5/5 - I love the dessert. Wasn’t too tart. Overall, it’s about a 3.5/5 for me. They need to cut down on the salt and improve on getting guests seated at their correct reservation times."
"Some of the best food we've had anywhere. The chef really knows how to combine the flavors and textures. We had the tasting menu, and every dish was terrific. It's rare to go to a place where even the amuse bouche starter gives a big wow."
