Cheryl Rowan Speech Therapy

"We strongly encourage families with kid(s) needing speech therapy to work with Cheryl. Our 3.5 year old son had two thirty minute sessions a week for about six months. When we started, he had just a few sound systems resulting it almost no one outside the family being able to understand him. With Cheryl's creative instruction, our son concluded with developmentally appropriate speech and is understood by peers and adults alike. Our son was sad to graduate from speech but proud of himself and is now willing to keep working on tricky words/sounds. We were impressed with Cheryl's approach to speech therapy. She utilized our sons' interest in games/educational toys to make working on sounds fun. Cheryl altered course if he was not engaging in the approach, if he was a wiggly and unfocused, or changed which sound to work on if he was was generalizing. Cheryl provided take home copies of sounds/words she wanted us to work on, too. Her office is cozy and she is approachable and kind. It was an absolutely fascinating process to watch as a parent and we could not be more grateful to Cheryl for her speech therapy expertise."
