"I came here with sever vomiting to the point I felt like I was going to pass out. I couldn’t answer any of their questions as it just kept coming. The staff here was so kind and patient. They got to me as quickly as possible despite having no rooms and being extremely busy. After being taken into the intake room they quickly accessed me, started an IV and got nausea medication going. They kept apologizing for being so busy and not having a room for me. I was taken back out to the waiting room but had a bed after I got a scan. Once I was taken to a room the nurse who was assigned to me was truly an angel of a human being. She was so kind and caring and made sure I was comfortable in every way. They waited for a few hours to make sure I was doing ok and able to keep fluids down before releasing me. I have honestly never had a better experience in an ER. The empathy this staff has is the golden standard in health care."
"I went to a different ER a few weeks ago. They ran 1 test said I was fine and sent me home after 4 hours. Pain was still there so I went to Sky Ridge Friday night. They were clearly busy and understaffed. They were all professional and took the time to run seveal tests, 3 or 4, including calling in an ultrasound tech from home since they didn't have one on staff that night. Low and behold I had a serious condition. Everyone here cares and goes above and beyond!"
"If I could give this ER zero stars I would. A friend went there for alcohol poisoning and severe withdrawal today. She has experienced seizures in the past so it is a medical emergency. They asked me to pick her up after 5 hours and when I asked what her bac was, they told me it wasn’t necessary to take it because they just treat the symptoms. What ?? I asked them to take it and it was .275 (after 5 hours) and she was being released since she was “clinically sober”? That is what the doctor said to me. A nurse actually said to me “she is past the stage of seizures.” I refused to pick her up until she was stable so they put her in an Uber anyways. I went to check on her and she was in no way stable. She passed out and fell to the floor. I immediately took her to a different ER. UC Health in Aurora. She passed out again on the floor while we were checking in and shaking uncontrollable so they immediately took her back. When learning she has had seizures in the past, the doctor came in and said we will treat her for severe withdrawal right away. The Skyridge ER was negligent in releasing her and I told the doctor that on the phone. Shame on them !!!"
"The best emergency room we’ve ever been to! Everyone was so helpful and it was very efficient. They were so wonderful with my 1 year old son. Dr. Chez DO was the best doctor we’ve ever seen. I wish she would switch to pediatrics, she’s that good! Thank you Dr. Chez and all the staff members that work here. We are so grateful for you!"
"Please stay away from this emergency room if you can. I work in healthcare. I have seen a lot. This was my worst experience ever. Wednesday evening around 6:30 pm I brought my husband with sever abdominal pain and fever. The waiting room was absolutely packed with nowhere to sit . We had to sit down in a hallway. Everything is extremely disorganized and dirty. Sick children’s sitting with sick adults. Pediatric emergency is in same room with adults??? Crazy. there’s a kiosk for checking in .no one explains to you the process of checking in. You have to just figure it out on your own luck. Then sit and wait , people coughing did not wear masks, then you get called into another room to explain what’s going on, then answer all questions with IPads, and you hear everyone also doing the same things, then back to the waiting room, then back to the other room for IV with other patients right next to you and they literally draw blood without any privacy, then CT scan from waiting room and back to waiting room. Then you wait and wait. I asked few times what’s going on why we are still waiting for 6 hours since we arrived and Their answer was you have to wait just like everyone here. Yes I saw everyone had same treatment and saw several older people really struggling with this because the chairs are not comfortable for not even healthy people. I asked just give some supply I can remove my husbands IV by myself. He needs a bed and he is in pain. No one cared and no one listened. We went home after 7 hours with one antibiotic pill. That was it. They better don’t charge my insurance with bed and room all other things they never provided us. Worse place in the earth.State inspection or HIPAA organization needs to come over here and fix all of these issues for sake of patients."
