Reviews of Serial Skinn
"Katie rules!! Just got zapped by her yesterday and the whole space was so vibey and comfy. Everyone here rocks and are so kind and fun. This was my first tattoo and Katie helped me feel so at ease and comfortable throughout and just absolutely crushed this piece. My partner and I can’t wait to get back in here and see what else Katie and Nate come up with!"
"The below review was from when she worked at Title Tattoo. In response to that review she had reached out apologizing and offering to prioritize me for a future appointment - to just reach back out to her. I reached out on March 4th ready to book and sent a very polite message, complimenting her work and indicating I understood it may be a while until I could get in. My message was read very quickly, and I have been left on read since. Won’t be giving a third chance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Had an unfortunate first experience here. Had paid a deposit to get a Taylor Swift flash tattoo during their event with artist Katie because I love her work and was so excited to get some of her art. I was emailed the morning of my appointment asking me to come in 90 min early, at 12:45PM instead of 2:15PMand I confirmed via email. When I arrived I was told she was finishing up the person ahead of me and would just be a few minutes. At about 1:00PM she came up and got the person next to me to begin a different appointment. I continued to wait until another artist asked if I was waiting for someone at around 1:15PM and I explained the situation to her. I was handed off to the receptionist who then told me I was scheduled for 1:45PM and I was waiting because I showed up so early. I confirmed that I in fact was on time and not early, and that I was specifically asked to come at 12:45PM. I politely said that I would like to just cancel my appointment and asked for my deposit back, stating that if the roles were reversed and I was 30 minutes late for an appointment I would be canceled or rescheduled and risk losing my deposit. There was some polite back and forth before Katie left her current client to speak with me, even though I said I would wait to speak until she finished as to not disrupt another client’s experience. What began as a polite introduction turned into her huffing that she didn’t have time for this because she had 8 tattoos that day and walking off in the middle of me speaking to get cash to “give this girl her money”, came back over to me, basically tossed my money at me, said “here” and walked off without another word. I understand flash events can be chaotic and stressful, which is why I waited a decent period before asking for any type of resolution. I also understand being frazzled and under time pressure, so I am hoping this was just a bad first impression. However I believe that as much as the artist’s time should be respected, so should a client’s - particularly if you asked them to change their schedule to accommodate an earlier time slot. This was the first time I visited the studio and unfortunately won’t be returning as I don’t appreciate being treated rudely and dismissively for a scheduling issue that I had no part in. I appreciated the return of my deposit and hope others have a more pleasant experience than I did."
"Moving to nyc next week and one of the things I will miss most is getting to come to Katie!! I’ve been going to her for months, she does the best lash tint, dermaplaning and is the only place in Denver I trust to do my eyebrows! Her new space is amazing and I will be sure to come back whenever I visit Colorado!"
"HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Recently got a brow lamination + last lift and tint by Katie and am in love! Such a vibey/relaxing environment and Katie is a pro! The sweetest human ever and makes you feel so comfortable during your appointment. Also highly recommend for a spray tan! Mads does a flawless job every time! Again, vibey spray tan booth with the most genuine service provider! Don’t forget to check out the boutique before leaving! They have put together a collection of one a kind pieces you don’t want to miss."
