"I am the general contractor who did the buildout of the Fortified tattoo shop. The owners, Artis and Chris agreed to have me do the work at their shop. When the job was completed, they didnt pay. They were both friends for several years prior to this. Almost 3 years after completion and i have not received any compensation for my work. They tried to hurt me and my family financially. They drive around in SRT’s, Teslas and SUV’s but cant pay the bill to the person who made their dreams of owning their own tattoo shop a reality. Two pathetic little boys trying to be big time."

"My fiancée went to Redmond for her second tattoo with him last month. She had an old tattoo she was really dissatisfied with due to the original artist overbooking her sessions and never finishing stencils he had placed. She chose to go to Redmond to try to get it fixed. Redmond was reluctant to do the job, but he ultimately agreed and reassured her numerous times he could help her get what she wanted. However, what ended up happening was not that at all. Redmond was really just looking to have full freedom to do what he wanted with her arm and showed no respect for the permanence of a tattoo. He kept calling her “red flag” and said a lot of other weird, unprofessional comments that really should have driven us away in the first place. Redmond is the type of tattooist who gets unreasonably stoned on the job and watches movies so he can work at the absolute slowest rate possible and still charge you an unreasonably overpriced rate. Did I mention he doesn’t even draw his pieces? That’s right. Redmond takes his artwork from the internet and also lazily relies on AI to generate images for him. My wife went through painstaking efforts to describe the background and shading she wanted for her tattoo, but Redmond did not seem to get the message. He stenciled some rays onto her arm to depict moonlight. When she asked about them he said he “wasn’t going to draw them” and that he was “just trying to visualize the shape of her arm.” That turned out not to be true as he started to shade in rays of light into the background. When she brought this up, he threw a fit and said he was done tattooing her. I called the store afterward where I was extremely cordial with him just trying to understand what had happened. He completely blew up over the phone and said a bunch of disrespectful nonsense. Honestly, the guy is a big baby who can’t handle any criticism and is clearly insecure due to his lack of talent. He hilariously said things like “good luck finding someone who will finish that tattoo” knowing full well we were getting married three weeks from then saying that “wasn’t his problem.” We booked with another tattooist the same day who did a phenomenal job, listened, and actually created his own work. Clearly, Redmond wants full creative freedom and doesn’t seem to care about what his clients want at all. He just wants to get stoned and trace an image on your arm for a ridiculously long amount of time at an alarmingly high rate. Ultimately, he charged her $800 for an unfinished tattoo (basically just a half-finished forearm piece). Also, the shop is dirty as hell. The bathroom is not clean and the artists do not clean up after their sessions. Redmond even said he “doesn’t clean up anymore because nobody else does” during his session with her. This is highly unsanitary."

"Would not recommend Chris Redmond due to his lack of professionalism, communication and time management. Booked an appointment a month out in anticipation to go over the design a week before if there were any changes per Mr. Redmon. Reached out a week before to discuss the design to hear the design was not ready. Fine, hear back Wednesday to give more details of what i wanted following already having sent images to incorporate into the concept. Ultimately the time crunch and pressure of being unable to communicate within a timely manner on his desire to ultimately not do my design was decided upon two days before my tattoo while I was at work and unable to efficiently communicate my thoughts soon enough. I hope anyone who works with him in the future has a better experience than I did, but would not recommend."

"I got my first tattoo done by Chris Roberts and everything from the stencil to the healing went smoothly. I did a big watercolor piece in my chest going to my shoulder and after 3 months of getting it, there has been absolutely nothing wrong with it. It did not fade, healed amazing, and I love the design. Everything from the shop to the tattoo is a 5/5. The only thing that I wish could've gone smoother is setting the appt and the consultation. I did not get to see the artwork until the day of the tattoo and I would've appreciated more communication. Other than that, I will be getting another tattoo done by the same person and the same shop!"
